Today's project, I will create an oscilloscope from a cheap bluetooth headset. You will have a bluetooth headset, A smartphone with oscilloscope software. Need 2 resistors 100K or 200K and 1K. It forms a voltage divider. 3.3V zener diode to protect bluetooth headset. The measured frequency is dependent on the quality of the headphones. However, if the frequency is below 10Khz, it works quite well. I'm not sure the software will work with all phones. If it doesn't work, try another software, find the oscilloscope on google play.
If you like my video, give me a cup coffee. Thank you very much.

I also try this 👍👍👍👍
Still waiting for 310vdc to 220vac 😀
Yes, it will appear soon
Hello sir please can you tell me how mutch can handle maximum voltage peak to peak
Awesome, thanks for sharing, up to what frequency does that measure if I may ask?
Wow, never thought of this before. Excellent job there.
For ac protection, the zener diode should be connected to the circuit again in parallel but in reverse in two series. I think there is a mistake in the project.
Podrias enviar esquema mejorado gracias
thanks a lot, tough it's simple, it actually really useful for so many people who can't afford an oscilloscope, but own a android phone
Yes, thanks, hope you enjoy it.
Great job! cant wait to try it.
good luck
not all phones work, possibly works only on samsung 7 which has a receive bluetooth option, android phones usually are in the transmit mode which cannot receive bluetooth audio. i think bluetooth dongle with transmit mode can be used to connect to bluetooth receivers option as in samsung 7, bluetooth headphone is more complicated.
WHY keep the cable instead of attaching it directly to the probe?
It's an amazing ideia! Thanks a lot! I'm from São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo, Brazil.
acros which resistance you connected the zener
Hi, bro. Any input voltage up to 3.3, in the phone is 3.0.
Which is the relation to know the exct voltage?
by example: if i have 5, 9 or 12 volts in the phone is 3.0
how i can measure de voltage. or only can measure frecuency?
How do I get my scope app to read input from Bluetooth or wired microphone? It only responds to cell phones internal microphone
You should use two zener one pointing the opposite of the other. Think you didn't use the other one because the microphone was polarized and you didn't detach the resistor that was powering it
What is the peak voltage range ??
Genius! From the US, just subscribed!
i found it hard to see the readings ,how close were the android reading to the real oscilliscope readings?
Can I use a 3.5 volt zener instead of 3.3 volts
It only worked for first time then next time it simply refused to detect on any kind of blue tooth device. Device is connected if we reconnect microphone and speaker it also works but when I start Smart oscilloscope it doesn't work. It always respond to built-in microphone of mobile. Any clue 🗝️ in which way it can be rectified?
that´s an amazing idea, wireless oscilloscope probe wow!
gosh, I never thought about this before, thank you very much, because of your video I didn't buy an oscilloscope which was very expensive
But it cannot replace an oscilloscope. The oscilloscope is much better.
Frank opinion please provide limitations of this Bluetooth oscilloscope
@@PhdHung Bro, it can use in square wave?
@@fury4076 yes it should be able to. But it only works for signal frequency less than 10khz
@@JamilKhan-hk1wl thank youuu
this can use for read laptop bios signals ?
Excelent project. 👍
Thanks bro.
Keep it up, thanks for sharing the video :)
lol When you pulled out the box of diodes stacked in bags, I felt that shit.
Thank you for watching. Where are you from?
India
Philippines
India
I am from indonesia. Thank's
India
Good idea
Like this as it's totally isolated. Not to clear in the video but I suppose the 3z3 is across the small resistor. I would be moor tempted to fit a bnc socket to the BTooth adapter. Just for interest what's the frequency response?
max 20Khz bro
Sweetheart and cool content bro thanks
I cant see you connect zener with 1k to gether or 200k ?!
very Nice . going to build one 👍
Steady cool bro.
Bravo mon ami 💪🙏
SUPER!
Bien 👍
Excellent !!thanks a lot!!
Why my Bluetooth device mic doesn't give signal even after connecting but phone's mic does
Can it measure voltage mains at home which is 220 AC ... ? or is it for low voltage ..??
Yes, u can measuare 220v with probe x10
So you got it to send a signal to the phone & o'scope app, but the o'scope is free running! That includes your actual o'scope on the shelf. Your can't measure anything like that! Do you know how to use an o'scope?! Much more useful if you set the TRIGGER level to freeze the display, to be able to actually see a waveform change over time! That way, your can see changes and make measurements.
Also, if zener is going to ground on the earbud, not sure it's "protecting" the circuit. You'll need another zener to do that.
However, besides these concerns, I do like the fact that you've shown ppl how to use simple tech to accomplish other things, to get ppl to start "thinking outside the box" so to speak.
Thanks for that!
Software not available form Play Store please help me provide software
Thanks bro i really need a oscilloscope (cheap one) ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍
What is that less than 3
It’s a heart
NICE Project sir 👍👍👍👍
Thanks
This is 10x probe?
Very good
Can it be used as an electricity meter?
Ok, you get the waveforms. But I am wondering about the signal mesurements. How can you adjust the scale? The signal crossing a tension divisor and a bluetooth volume control... how I know if I am looking at 2V, 20V...?
Its not a simply 1x/10x probe.
Thank you about your video.
This is just a simple product. It doesn't have many functions
@@PhdHung It is not about "many functions" actualy, but about what you are measuring and how the smartphone see it. It's ok if you simply want to know the waveform and nothing more. But this connection (with false measurements) is almost useless. Thank you about your video. It was a interesting idea anyway.
It would be Good if you use tvs diode or MOV
Sir, nice work. Can we measured bios ic signals and lvds signal in of lcd tv.thanks.pl. reply.
I don't think it's possible, but give it a try.
which resistor is parallel with zener diode? 1k or 200k ?
1k since the voltage has to be divided the smaller resistor is giving a lower output voltage than the input
U r great bro
Thanks bro
Wow what a idea.
Thanks
Nice, can this be used with 12dc in cars?
What is the maximun frecuency that support the osciloscope?
20Hz a 20Khz, a faixa de frequência do áudio.
Hay quá anh ơi 👍
thanks you very much sir
nice
Super. what maximum frequency and maximum how many volts can work?
max ~ 20Khz
How do you set the app to take sound from the Headset? For me it takes from the phone microphone only, or 3.5 mm jack wire...
Same problem I have here.
How do I go about this?
Please also suggest another app that will work with this constuction
I have same problem
No app
Does it work like professional one
no :d
U R A Nerdy Bird!!!
U flying; thx!
I lucked out my headset pcb was through hole .super easy and my headset handled 5v without any smoke.
good
maximum voltage supported?
Some mV input at the microphone connector but with the 2 resistor you can make a voltage divider
Great sir. From which country you are.?
good and uniform condition
Great, what is the max range volts can it test? Is it for DC only?
max ~ 250V. can use DC and AC
Great to hear that, thank you. Cause I was planning to make probe directly to headset jack but I hesitate to make one cause I dont want to break my phone, now I will make it wireless just for the safety. I can't afford to by new phone. Hihihi. More power to your channel.
@@PhdHung ac and DC? There is not capacitor between micropone input and the AD converter of the earpiece?
👍👍👍
Nice
What is the highest frequency it can measure?
Thanks
max ~ 20Khz
@@PhdHung Thanks
Great idea 💡 , but sir instead of only music, explain what you're doing step by step. Similar way can you make a video on RF transmitter and receiver module explaining the circuit diagram step by step, but no background music
ok bro :D
Its not working, i have the same bluetooth, same zener and same resistor, but doesnt work, phone is samsung
Hi I made it but didn't work even didn't start
Second problem is that smart scope app. Just work with phone mic and it seems you had same problem in video
Please help me with schematic and app
Thanks
Sir no Download Play Store but link please
What is the highest voltage
He says 220 V with that voltage divider
Itu ide yang cemerlang
Mantap boss
I try this but my android mic still work....🤕🤕
Μy bluetooth mic is not working even it is conected. It only pics up sound from the phones mic. How can i change this?
Maybe your phone doesn't support it :( . Try another oscilloscope software
How many the analog bandwidth
max 20Khz
R1k short?
sweet...:) don't tear up that good scope-probe for a few dollars buy the mating BNC connector then add your pigtail wires to that and you can change probes fast...:/
Why not use the phone external speakers right way,I want an oscilloscope to use with metal detectors if I convert my Bluetooth headphones like you why I need the 2 probes for metal detectors frequency test
Sơ đồ mạch phân áp như nào vậy h
Please Share skema
👍👍.cái này hay này.
There are no aliens.. we are the aliens! Amazing technology ...my Goodness!
Very nice bro !!!
Thanks bro
@@PhdHung bro! Can you make powerful inverter circuit using 2x mje3055t transistor ?
Can it will be used with a pc?
I think it's possible, but be careful
Nice Im try this but this program can't support blotooth mic
Can you help me?
The Headset conected but dont send sound to phone
Can this device measure high frequency signals?
Like >20KHz???
no bro.
Ok, can you show how to measure high frequency signals with phone like that, I don't have money to buy an oscilloscope...
@@subhasishbhaduri2938 for frequency> 10khz you can build your own scope with faster ADC chips but at the end diy cost will be 2x of a traditional scope.
@@subhasishbhaduri2938 the phone has a filter cutting all Higher frequency to ensure a better audio quality i Think, or simply the audio circuits wont go higher that that
