Lil Woody Asks to Speak to Lawyer When Questioned About Controversial Ex-Parte Meeting

- Young Thug's attorney Brian Steel started to cross-examine Kenneth Copeland aka Lil Woody in the YSL RICO case. Steel asked Woody about the ex-parte meeting where District Attorney Simone Hylton supposedly said what would happen to him if he admitted to being involved in the murder of Donovan Thomas Jr. "They gonna lock me up," Copeland said. After more questioning, Lil Woody asked to speak to his lawyer.

Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.

Prosecution has weak evidence and vague hearsay testimony. They didn't prepare well for this case and Hylton doesn't appear to be the best choice to handle this case.
