    I have a few various brands that are slipping and couldn't bring myself to throw them away. Thank You ! I do my best to keeps things out of the land fills and keep a little ching in my pocket !!

    Thats a lot of work for cheap clamps.
    If you don't have a welder, just roughing up the bar where it slips with coarse grit sandpaper has alwsys worked for me...and you don't need to rake them apart.
    30 seconds and you're done.

      I agree, I mostly did it to see if it'd work. I'll definitely try your approach the next time.
