For activating the Festool vac with a cordless tool- I installed the bluetooth module in my vac (very easy to do) then instead of putting the dongle/remote on the hose, I put it in my shirt pocket where I can press it on or off through the shirt.
Right now there is a big sheet of asbestos in the middle of my neighbourhood and no one wants to move it and people had made several complaints about it. Good video by the way!
I love the passion you have for your work. I sensed you was almost in tears at the fact that you are in lockdown. Its heart breaking that some small businesses will go under as they can't get work
That is the sad thing about small business during the lockdown. Everyone is crying about mcdonalds and kfc and can't wait for them to open, but as soon as this has been lifted im going straight to the local takeaways instead to help them survive.
Hey love the videos just FYI The top “feet”come apart and you can clip the plastic sheet in to the top of the zip poles then just tape it to the walls it makes it super easy
As I'm sure you know: Hand sanitizer = soap + water x 9999 times a day. Wipes = approx. 1:10 ratio laundry bleach:water + rag in a ziploc. Very best wishes to you from Seattle!
Here in Edinburgh were also in lockdown as of yesterday. Stay safe mate, we can earn more money but can’t buy our health. Looking forwards to future videos when it’s safe to do so 👍🏻
Hey scott big fan here from Christchurch During my isolation I'm going to learn Japanese furniture joins thanks to you! If you have anymore videos of it I would love to get more tips! Cheers!
Hey Scott, take care sir. We are all thinking of small business owners and self employed. Down here in Dunedin the whole town is small businesses. I’ve been so busy trying to get my customers ready in the past 48 hours, your video was the first chance I had to really think about how it’s affecting us, nearly started crying man. Keep posting the videos I’ll be playing them round the clock in support.
England was the same with panic buying. Think I’ve watch all the vids love how you set the scenery at the beginning of the vids. Awesome van set up too
Kind of surreal to watch this 3 months to the day later, having recently discovered this channel while searching for DIY stuff. Just like that, the regular stuff didn’t matter and we all went home for lock-down.
Good to see you doing the right thing about asbestos mate. I'm an apprentice in Australia and working on a building site where asbestos is all over the place: fragmented, pulverised, you name it. No precautions being taken. Really makes me angry.
there is a city literaly named Asbestos 1.5 hour from me. Hi from Montreal, Canada! a quick trick with vinyle tiling here. 9x9 tiles almost all contain asbestos. old 8x8, 10x10 and 12x12 can also countain some... but its pretty rare. there is asbestos often on old plumbing insolation. the absolute worst is insolation (as when its removed its quite volatile) Vinyle-Asbestos Tiling is not the end of the world. :) there is quite a lot of Asbestos in old Quebec buildings here... don't panic, its gonna be alright :)
Lol should he vlog from home? He will have a hard time creating content and making money with his job. So maby it's time for a little payback from us to him ;)
@@Asientabs Personally I would not mind some different videos from Scott. He is a interesting man, and could easily make some videos about his van, tools, tips and tricks and so on. Heck, I even wouldn't mind a home tour. I will still support him though. Stay safe!
In my area of the US, a homeowner can remove asbestos in a single family residence only. Commercial and multi family removal has to be completed by a certified abatement specialist
Hi I bumped into you about a month ago and showed you my AWS receivers. You don't need to make both chips flash green. Just press the one on the saw till it flashes blue then you are good to go. The one down side is if you have multiple tools or vacuums all the ones that are paired will start. You can use this to your advantage though by putting a y junction on the vacuum and running 2 hoses if the tools them selves have good extraction. I do this on my dropsaw and skill saw.
Take care and stay safe. It's been 7 days of full lockdown here in Belgium (10 days since they closed down pubs and restaurants). My appartment has never been that clean...

Hey Scott. Good vid as always, just remember this is a virus not a bacteria. There is a difference, most hand gel which is store bought is anti bacterial. Rule of thumb if the gel is over 60% alcohol it is virucidal Soap and water is the way forward. Stay safe
Those people buying 70 bottles are the crazy ones. A funny incident with some of the crazy people who bought a huge amount of stock, they tried to return it because they couldn't afford and woolworths refused because its a sanitary problem now.

EPISODE 210: Today I take apart the plugs in my house for the 5th time and put them back together... in reverse order this time. *Dramatic music plays* :p
The problem is the retailers irresponsibly selling huge volumes to people in the first place. Should limit to 1 per household. Toilet paper has all but disappeared for weeks near me.
Yeah same problem here. The supermarket near me have got things under control with limits on products. They also started controling the number of people that can be inside at once. It was oddly calm there yesterday.
Here in the Big Island of Hawaii we have 4 cases so far. We are in a semi lock down. Construction can continue so I'm lucky but my in law's restaurant is already feeling the effects after a couple weeks.
Scott get yourself a p3 rated mask thats the minimum you need to remove asbestos and if you are taking a sample get a little hand sprayer with 1part pva to 5 parts water soak the area and spray as you break ,it seals any asbestos fibres and stops spores traveling in the air
We call it ‘self quarantining’ here in the States, but frankly, it’s a lockdown...and probably necessary. The gain of function of this virus should alarm people, but not to the degree of frantic buying and such. I’m viewing this as work from home and enjoy time with my family...and hopefully blaze through a few shop projects. 😁
Does the lockdown completely shut you down? For building it seam, there may be a grey area for urgent repairs. I know for my business no work for 4 weeks at this stage.
Stay safe and stay home just as you said. It’s Bananas up here in Canada, the yanks are doomed with their guy in the drivers seat 😬 time to start up the joinery again perhaps? Be well!
Sorry about the lockdown bro. Maybe you could do some more videos about woodworking from your place? Maybe creating content could keep yourself sane while locked down and could also keep us sane with stuff to watch?

I was lucky enough to grab some timber and concrete last minute from ITM to build a retaining wall and garden box at my old (I live with them) hope you are safe and well. Watched all of your videos
EPISODE 210: Today I take apart the plugs in my house for the 5th time and put them back together... in reverse order this time. *Dramatic music plays*
:p
The problem is the retailers irresponsibly selling huge volumes to people in the first place. Should limit to 1 per household. Toilet paper has all but disappeared for weeks near me.
Yeah same problem here. The supermarket near me have got things under control with limits on products. They also started controling the number of people that can be inside at once. It was oddly calm there yesterday.
Stay well Scott.
Great content Scottie! Stay safe, mate! Love your work.
Here in the Big Island of Hawaii we have 4 cases so far. We are in a semi lock down. Construction can continue so I'm lucky but my in law's restaurant is already feeling the effects after a couple weeks.
Stay safe! We’re on lock down in parts of Texas.
For plumbing we can only work if its a health issue, I imagine building is much the same.
Stay safe! Your my favorite youtuber! :) Best regards from Norway.
You have to show us how you done the router attachment?? 😍
Stay safe and stay home just as you said. It’s Bananas up here in Canada, the yanks are doomed with their guy in the drivers seat 😬 time to start up the joinery again perhaps? Be well!
Thought I Saw your van out Stonefields one evening I was star struck for a bit 😂😂😂
Sorry about the lockdown bro.
Maybe you could do some more videos about woodworking from your place?
Maybe creating content could keep yourself sane while locked down and could also keep us sane with stuff to watch?
