Great film! My Dad and I did Coast to Coast on the Way of the Roses route last weekend. It was very hot going up the climb out of Settle! Loved cycling through the Dales though. Absolutely beautiful! Keep meaning to give an Audax a go, need to get on it.

You know what, when you're feeling a little sapped and heavy like I was today there's nothing better than getting pulled into a glorious adventure like yours;
Back and forths, hearty laughs and unclouded smiles is just what I was needing today, what we all need.
The Dales, I get all the affection for the place;
You must feel at home up there, surrounded by an emptiness that welcomes anyone soul passing by.
I too know stretches where it's just me, a road that winds up the mountain and the sudden feeling that you after all can make it in this life.
When I can't be there I often daydream about it !
Wise decision to take an audax instead, I relished the experience entirely.
Hope you made it safely back home and got all the repose you deserved ! =]

My kind of roads, I will be on similar roads on Thursday cycling round the Isle of Arran and the weather is looking so good😁Just love big climbs and big descents and Arran fits the bill😉

Did the audax last year and bailed at Hawes (fish and chip supper), and caught a taxi to the YHA (about a mile from the Dales Bike Centre). So failed that audax. Day 2 went better (and was much flatter), but within time.
Know what you mean about the Dales though: lovely part of the UK and so quiet
Lovley landscapes but hilly :D im dreaming of doing Norway one day but Norway is also famous for being hilly and i pack even more on my bike since im more tour packing. i Really felt your struggle thru the lens when even the everyday hill is enugh for me. but still you your plowed thru like machines! very impressive and inspiering. so much possitivity!

You’ve got fine weather for riding … excellent video … ta very much. Today is my birthday and we’ve got very nice spring weather for riding too. I’ll be dusting off my old Italian ten speed Torpado bicycle that I received on my 16th birthday so that means the bike is celebrating its 50th birthday today! PS: This week I used my new PS Bagworks “rider strap” with the Fuji X100V camera and I really like it! If you get one, I’m sure the friendly folks at PS Bagworks would be well and truly chuffed that you’ve tried it and hopefully liked it … might even be worth a mention on a future gear review. 🚴♂️📷😎

Yeah buttertubs is a nice view but there’s a better view , climb up kingsdale (thornton road) from near ingleton and at the top overlooking deepdale that’s possibly the best view in Yorkshire & don’t forget to pick up your chin when finished 😆

Weekend before I was riding back from Cambridge (headed North) when the current spell of fine weather started. Noticed I had a long shadow but the sun wasn't in my eyes so apart from that sizzling noise and smell of bacon, what's the problem ? Calves now look like beetroot...

Hi Katie and all. Requesting a quick bit of advice if that is ok. I have a large Apidura rear saddle bag and whenever I use it, ity swings like a pendulum side to side as I ride. I have it done up tightly etc - but any advice on keeping it more stable? thanks all in advance. Guy

Climbing is wayyyyy easier than ultra cycling. 100k is way harder
That seat is not a good idea.
Actually, I ride with a few folks who have them, and they love them. Takes pressures off of the bits and puts it on only the sit bones.
A couple people I know have that saddle and absolutely love it. First time I saw this saddle, I thought it was the weirdest thing I had seen. One friend let me ride her bike for part of a ride. It was the most comfortable saddle I had ever tried. Support in all the right places. Price though, is pretty steep.
