Expans of British Empire caused innumerable issues like confiscation of territories of Indian without their consent. They even started interfering in religious matters. People especially Muslims were fade up of this brutal way of ruling, so Molana Fazl e Haq Khairabadi issued a verdict I.e Fatwa of Jihad against English ruling in India. Resultantly War of Independence started in 1857 also called Indian Revolt of 1857.

After War Bahadur Shah Zafar was arrested and sent into exile and imprisoned at Rangoon. Molana Fazl e Haq Khairabadi was also arrested and awarded life imprisonment at Andaman and Nicobars Indian Eastern Islands. Molana spent abt 22 month under English atrocities and was martyred at all.
