Though I am not yet a senior golfer, I found this video so helpful! I am a newbie golfer and have been having trouble keeping my arms straight and this video helped me a lot in terms of positioning myself correctly. Jess is a great instructor both in his videos and live on the course- I am lucky to live in South Florida and experience his amazing teaching in person! Thanks for yet another great video, Jess!! ⛳️⛳️
Senior golfer here 64 years old and I went to S/T swing and went from a regular flex to a stiff in my clubs, gained speed and distance and got rid of my back pain. I had back surgery for a ruptured disc L1 20 years ago and just couldn’t use this X factor or limited lower body turn and coiling, it would leave me hurting for a week after. One thing I have found out it to make sure to complete the backswing, back to the target and wait for the momentum of the club to start down keeping your back to the target as long as possible, it’s more of a feeling than a move. Stack and Tilt does work and I will never use any other method. Thanks for the tips.
Like your videos and the simplicity of your instruction. Had 2 hip ops and don't have great range of motion. Always thought the right knee should be flexed on the backswing but appreciate this limits the turn. Will try the straighter trail leg with more hip and tilted shoulder turn.
i went with s & t several years ago but for whatever reason I started to slide back into my old swing habits. Yesterday I played terrible hitting fat and thin shots with my irons. My woods I'm ok with. Anyway watched one of your videos and went back out to hit a few balls and it started to click again. Will continue to watch before playing just to remind myself. I am a senior btw.....
Would like to see more on stack and tilt. Swing positions, problem fault and fixes I like this segment your to the point quickly and easy to understand. A lot of other segments the instructor talks way to much
Yes, this is working fabulously for me, my irons have benefited hugely with more solid contact and excellent carry. My driver is taking longer to develop, somehow the tilt forward on the backswing, and tilt backward on the downswing is a feeling that goes awry with the longer stick, I know it will work. But, I am surprised it didn't immediately click; like the irons.
Thank you Teddy! Appreciate you watching and subscribing! Yes, you just need to do more of it. More times than not you are hitting down too much and not enough side tilt. Let me know how it goes!
Hey Jess, I found your channel through your excellent session with Tom Saguto. I have a Jim Hardy one-plane swing and am a senior (75). I bought Bennet and Plummer’s S&T book a number of years ago (the DVDs were too expensive) when S&T was all the rage. I admit I didn’t get much out of the book. I did read a comment by Jim Hardy that he had “no problem with the S&T technique,” but that didn’t exactly sound like a ringing endorsement. Also, since we are all influenced by what tour players do, I was concerned that Mike Weir, Aaron Baddeley, Dean Wilson, and TA III all seemed to lose their games after switching to S&T, and several of them have abandoned S&T altogether (“better is the enemy of good enough!”). But I like what you are teaching. I have always had trouble getting through the ball and finishing the swing. I can’t hit my irons very well and hit a lot of thins, so your session with Tom and your P1-P8 video were helpful. But I originally switched to the one-plane swing around 2008 since my 2P swing was hurting my back ( I have degenerative disks), so I am leary of the reverse C like finish of the S&T technique. My back has not bothered me with the 1P swing. I also am a big fan of Martin Hall and have watched him for a number of years. He made the interesting comment in one of his shows, almost as an aside, that “ the Reverse C finish is not as bad as first thought.” But he didn’t elaborate and although he is a Jim Hardy certified instructor, he seems to favor a 2P swing and I am afraid of incorporating the wrong fundamentals in my swing! Anyway I am exploring your videos and find them intriguing! Thanks for some new insights! I have forwarded your 2 senior golfer videos to a friend who has quit playing since he is dejected with his loss of distance. He has a wonderful 1P swing with a very dependable slight fade off the tee and his iron approach shots are very good. I hope your videos might get him playing with us again!

Jim Hardy, Martin Hall, Andy Plummer are a few of the great instructors who have had a major influence in my teaching and my love for helping golfers improve their games! Thanks Jess! Great clear, accurate explanation of how we can hit the ball easily and consistently! And after we hit some balls we can go and have a nice lunch (coz we can’t eat KFC every day!!)
Went to the range today and began the Stack and Tilt swing. Had a great session. One issue though, most of my shots, > 75%, went left of the target. No draw, just pushed left. Maybe my backswing wasn't 'in" enough? Positive was less than 10% fades. Feedback appreciated.
Chest up at top of back swing and top of finish is "golden", I am a self taught S&T golfer and my biggest problem is accuracy. Approach shots from 150 yds and closer are still going right or left...not sure why but the chest up will keep me "stacked" more consistently I think. Thanks for the video.

This is very similar to what is taught at GolfTec. However, when you overexaggerate the CRAP out of conventional teaching, you lose credibility. I've taken many, many lessons over the course of 35+ years of playing golf and I've never ONCE been taught ANY of the nonsense that you're claiming in this video. NO ONE teaches turning the shoulders "flat" and doing so doesn't automatically sway your upper body 2 feet off the ball like you're claiming. Look, I'm a fan of stack and tilt, I just can't stand when someone overexaggerates other methods of teaching just to make THEIR method look superior. You can make your point without resorting to nonsense.
Thanks for your comments. I am just reporting what I see on the lesson tee every day. And if you look at national magazines they do teach this amongst other entities. I have been teaching for nearly 25 years and I see this constantly from golfers.
I think you misunderstood what he was saying. People receive good instruction, but then they don’t take it out to the course. Me, for example, “feel versus real,“ as I go back in video myself. I think I’m doing what the instructor say, but then I find that sadly that is not the case!
@@forrestio76that’s why you need to exaggerate on the course or do playing lessons on the course to get comfortable. I would also say people don’t practice nearly enough to see a change. That’s why ST is so good because it simplifies everything. Golf is challenging 100% that’s why you don’t see the same pga tour player win every week. To make changes you need to go a mile to get an inch and then tons of repetition
Waaaay to many moving parts in this guys method. I want to play golf…. Not just play hit the ball and then figure out what part of me moved the wrong way.
Wow, this method has made my swing as a senior so much easier. I think the conventional swing is way too complicated - shifting weight, slide forward while on the backswing, drop arms into a slot…I don’t have to think with this method.

I used to play everything of the front foot then I got lessons to play the ball in the centre but I don’t feel right playing this way , I’ll just have to persevere Thanks
Great Video. 53 years of golf have gone. At 74 my best speed is 72 mph and driver distance 200yds carry best i can do. U reckon I could get faster. Tried but failed
I always think you can gain swing speed. You have to train swing speed. Like anything you have to make swings as fast as you can. Get a swing caddie to watch gauge how fast you swing. Also, turn the club upside down and practice hearing the swoosh of the club in front of you. Hope this helps George! Thank you!
Hey Jean it works for every club. I have gained massive distance with my driver. Why do you say it doesn’t work for longer clubs? Thanks and thank you for subscribing!
Jess Frank Golf Academy I am not saying it doesn’t work, I am saying it’s easier for me with a pitching wedge, a 9 or an 8 iron. With longer clubs like a hybride, I revert to putting my weight on the interior of my back foot for some reasons.

Hey Steve this is the simplest movements going with the least amount of thinking :))
Wow, this method has made my swing as a senior so much easier. I think the conventional swing is way too complicated - shifting weight, slide forward while on the backswing, drop arms into a slot…I don’t have to think with this method.
This is one of the worst comments in UA-cam history
Great video

Do you play the ball of your front foot for stack and tilt
Depending on shot and shape
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton Thanks
I used to play everything of the front foot then I got lessons to play the ball in the centre but I don’t feel right playing this way , I’ll just have to persevere
Thanks
Great Video. 53 years of golf have gone. At 74 my best speed is 72 mph and driver distance 200yds carry best i can do. U reckon I could get faster. Tried but failed
I always think you can gain swing speed. You have to train swing speed. Like anything you have to make swings as fast as you can. Get a swing caddie to watch gauge how fast you swing. Also, turn the club upside down and practice hearing the swoosh of the club in front of you. Hope this helps George! Thank you!
It's easier to do with a short club
Hey Jean it works for every club. I have gained massive distance with my driver. Why do you say it doesn’t work for longer clubs? Thanks and thank you for subscribing!
Jess Frank Golf Academy I am not saying it doesn’t work, I am saying it’s easier for me with a pitching wedge, a 9 or an 8 iron.
With longer clubs like a hybride, I revert to putting my weight on the interior of my back foot for some reasons.
