Hopefully seeing Cam again soon to work on some short. Are you guys enjoying these type of videos?
Brodie Smith Golf they the best bro, almost like Cam knows his stuff
Dude early extension is my struggle. 😔
We very much enjoy these videos with that dude. Keep it up! :)
These are the best! I'm working on exactly the same thing! Thank you and cam!
Love these videos. Been working on things like this with my coach and it’s super interesting seeing all the stuff cam has so you can see your swing and how it’s changing.
These videos have been invaluable to me as someone who is trying to improve his swing, but cannot afford this kind of instruction. Thank you for recording these lessons
Solid work brother! The videos with Cam are priceless! Most of us will never have the opportunity for this type of instruction. Taking us along for the ride has helped my game, and I'm sure countless others. Keep it up!
Albert Villarreal Could not have said it better!
Brodie - after watching your videos, I don't feel alone at the range anymore. It's good to see that other golfers struggle as much as I do
Love when they talk about over doing the changes you need to make! This teacher really knows his stuff and having gears just makes the lesson so much more insightful. I’ve actually been working on a lot of the same stuff they are talking about and I’ve been seeing a really good improvement in my swing because the misses are just soo much better. Keep up the good work Brodie!
Yes! These are really good addition to the bodiesmith golf channel. It adds in the content of helping everyone, and a cool vid to see your game improve!
Just started golfing; love these “instructionals”. Really cool to watch your entire process!
This is exactly what I’ve diagnosed with my swing, and seeing it from this perspective is SO helpful!
same here!! I do work on the movement and espacially the rotation of my hips! love this video!
I’ve been itching for another one of these videos! Keep up the great work Brodie, your game is getting better and better by the minute
Thabsj!
Great stuff; thank you for posting these instructional sessions.
I am enjoying watching these lessons. In fact, I wouldn't mind even more instructional detail. Keep up the good work Broski.
First off thanks so much Brodie and Altus Performance for sharing this info it has been so helpful. In the spirit of pay-it-forward here are some time stamps for the juicy bits to *rewatch* before you go practice.
8:50 *P3-P4 breaking plane* (pool noodle effect)
•Mechanics of butt breaking “wall” plane
•Moving back into forward flexion
10:10 *Forward flexion → pelvic tilt* (how to drill this movement)
•Push negative (backward) with hips, stay negative through downswing
19:08 *Hand path breakdown*
•Move hands close to right thigh in follow through
•Slide pelvis down the target line (toward target and stay negative)
23:00 *Elevator drill* (drill done slowly!)
•Promotes butt back → to create pelvic tilt
•Purpose to restore correct club head path
24:00 *Hand path to visualize push draw on downswing*
•Over do it in practice swings
Words can’t explain how much this video has helped my swing. Wow!
What an awesome peak inside the high tec, top notch professional lessons that most people can't access. I know I struggle with this big time so thank you!!!
I work with Altus, and I don't even get access to this stuff!! insane!
Good stuff. It helped me visualize swing concepts well.
Love the content with Cam! Only wish I could afford to do this myself!
Great video! 💯 Such critical points to building consistency. It’s amazing how far you have come in such a short time. 👊🏼 Enjoy the opportunity you have and the process.
Loving the process
I am also struggling with early extension. I have a bad back and it is tough to do sometimes. This video gave some great tips. Keep them coming
yo Brodie loving the videos keep them coming, your swing is coming on nicely it looks really good 👍
another great video! Learning a lot from these videos and taking it to my local range and courses and trying to implement what i can. Texas isn't very close but looking for a local pro to help me fine tune my game!!! Keep it up Brodie and one day we will play 18 together.
Keep the great videos coming!
Just watched the whole video pal! Love what you guys are doing across the board. Keep it up!
Thanks Noah!
Great work man love watching these videos super cool seeing how much you have improved. Golf is a great game cause you can never be satisfied and always room for improvement.
Always something to work on
How good is data! Awesome breakdown of the subtle motions that affects the strike.
I love it that the coach gets all revved up.
Love these videos they are unreal
I love watching you play golf
Saw Cam today working with Jordan on the putting green at Bethpage. Great coach great guy!
Thanks. I enjoy what you are doing, brother.
Cool video. Helps to see the coach and student from the outside.
Would love more of this man, GEARS is so cool. I'm hoping my coach gets this at some point, I feel like "feels" can only get you so far when you're trying to perfect your swing. Obviously, you're working with a legendary pro here, but I've been taking lessons from one of George Gankcas' instructors, and his "squat & pivot move" has really helped me with early extension. I focus more on my knee movements which in turn effects the hips. Keep up the practice!
Yea loved the GEARS lesson
Awesome video! What a coach. Just been watching DJ at the PGA and that forward tilt is so obvious and I had never seen it before.
They all do it
These are my favorite type of golf UA-cam videos. Thx for sharing!
Glad you enjoy them
Awesome to hear his input, keep these videos up!
Trying to get my next lesson setup
The tech, data and lesson is really impressive.
I’m happy to see you practicing and improving like this, can’t wait for you to play in the pga
That would be amazing
He won’t:)
This video was so helpful.
Glad you enjoyed it!
best vid you've done to date
Superb lesson, forward flexion is key on the downswing, although it feels counter intuitive it actually allows room for the arms to drop down and inside correctly, the tush goes back, the hips clear and rotate and all good things happen. Cameron is a great teacher 👏👏👏👏👏
Im always watching your videos you are my favorite UA-camr ... ... Your soo. Awesome and amazing .. I just love watching your videos
Thanks!
Great Great Stuff 💪😊 like the ambition from both of you. Greetings from Germany. Michael
Very cool watching your growth in the game. You've made big strides in the last year or so. Keep it up!
Year 2-3 are going to be massive
Are we going to see some competitive content? Training for the US Am qualifier?
Great Job
great video as always.....I have the same early extension issues but I find tightness in the left flute a real issue...I wonder if there are any gym exercises recommended to loosen up glutes and IT bands
Absolutely love these instruction videos with Cameron, very beneficial- thank you! As a side note- you look like you're wearing an outfit from a Zoolander fashion runway show- lol! Keep up the great content Brodie
Haha it was pretty wild, but gave some pretty cool information
This stuff is really cool. Technology is awesome.
Love it Brodie
Would love to see you do a session with mike malaska and have his take on what your learning
Would love to see a Brodie lesson with George Gankas too!
Saw you and Brooks on TV here in Ireland at the Nike offices!
Haha that is awesome!
Hey Brodie, Jack, the caddie from Bethpage is caddying for second place Jazz Janewattananond! Golf Digest did a great piece on him. Look up Jack Miller Golf Digest and you should find it
Jack is a legend!
Great video! More like this please!
I have a full playlist with these videos
@@BrodieSmithGolf Wasn't aware of that, I'm pretty new to your channel. Definitely gonna watch all of the others!
I just starting golfing. I found I don't need lessons if I just lie on my scorecard. Shot a 70 the other day! (only took me 6 hours and 7 balls) And if the marshall let me play in the dark, I would have finished all the holes! All kidding aside, These lessons are awesome! Thanks for posting them.
If I win the lottery, I'm doing this. Freaking awesome!
rly sick bro love from France

" Thats A Game Changer Guys" hahahaha
Hey man I’m watching the PGA CHAMPIONSHIP today and I like watching ur channel
Sweet! I'm doing the same.
Grind it out bro!
this is next level golf lesson. holy shit.
Thanks for the video, any chance if anyone with knowledge reads about this. How can I check my pelvis rotation without any equipment? Any drills or tells tells how I'm standing currently with my hip rotation? I feel like thrusting towards the target is currently a problem, but feel can be misguiding in golf as we all know :)
Used gears my self in one of my lessons. Gears is such a great software what did you make of it Brodie?
I was a huge fan. Would def love to do some more work in it in the future.
Love this dude. We need to get a game!
For sure
Brodie Smith Golf we will have to book out the whole course so when we shout we don’t upset anyone... 😂🤙🏼
Great vid, super work by you and Cameron. As a fellow struggler, but not in your class, I notice that your butt is about 5 inches beyond your heels at address. If it was only 2 inches or so then you could much more easily start the butt motion backwards in your back swing and then inertia (i.e. a body continues to move in the direction it is moving until another force acts on it, Newton’s 2nd? Law of Motion), would help you, i.e. if your butt moves back it is so much harder for it to then move toward the ball in the downswing because some force would have to act to reverse its direction. But if your butt is 5 inches behind your heels at address you really have to fight it to stop it coming forward whereas if it is only 2 inches you are not fighting the towards the ball move! I think some instructors call this 2 inch stance position tucking the pelvis underneath at address. I would guess that your weight at address would also be more forward in your feet and less on your heels so you could also much more easily get the butt back and the weight back into your right heel too. It also helps with the elevator action in the downswing. You must have a ton of ability to play as well as you do coping with an early extension, unbelievable, no stopping you when you get it right!!
Such good content. Looking like Justin Rose
So are you working on getting the butt back in the backswing and impact and shallowing on the downswing?
Yup pretty much
For me you are not shallowing the golfclub, Brodie. First start with a steeper , more outside backswing with a loose grip. Then stop rushing the downswing, let the club fall down just before you start the forwardrotation. That also helped me getting rid of early extension. Love your conent Brodie, greetings from Munich Germany ;)
All he needs to do is get shallow and everything take care of it’s self
Recipe for disaster....
Cam is teaching similar to George Gankas and they both borrowed the wrist movement in the down swing from Mike Austin ( spin the meatballs ) as they say there is really nothing new in golf ,but with technology there are better ways to show it.
Damn, my game would improve with that tech to. Not fair!!
Hi Brodie, what's that foam thing called behind you ? While you were doing the drill? Thanks!
I think it’s just a pool Nobel
Noodle*
Trackman
Early extension is not a fault. It doesn't affect strike because your motor systems will just simply adjust to the extension. Look at Mark Crossfield's video that he just did. Extension gives you power
Payton Miller I agree, it's a natural movement for power
Extension after hitting ball yes. And with driver. Yes. But this is iron. So nonsense.
When you playing a round with DJ?
Can you do a “what’s in the bag” sometime or just put your set up in the comments or description?
Would be cool to see how the clubs have evolved as your golf has evolved 👍🏌🏼♂️
Yea I need to do a new one...just got all new clubs
Brody, how often do you take lessons? Do you take one then work on what he gives you for a while then head back for the next thing? Or are consistently there every week? Just wondering about your opinion and method.
I think i have taken 4-5 lessons over the last year so 1 ever couple of months or so.
REALLY GOOD, but please do a short game vid
what do you mean short game vid?
Brodie meets Koepka and meets with Jordan Spieth’s coach........ they both do great in major. Coincidence??????
Have you seen improvements on the course since this lesson? Just curious how quick the fix has been. Thanks for sharing these lessons!
Well my latest tournament scores have been 73 72 71 so I would say so
when was this filmed
several weeks ago...I'm pretty back loaded right now with vids
Science!
so brodie, the second half of the instruction, is cam having you shallow your arms because you go into forward flexion in the downswing?
Rod Lopez shallow comes naturally
You dint shallow arms.
Awesome video! How much does his lessons cost? Really interested.
You can check out pricing on their website.
Google
I must say I prefer the John Daly mentality :)
Brodie all you need is slower back swing and at the same time have more turned back swing to achieve the left butt to hit the wall after down swing thank you
jin hue nonsense. Slower backswing fucks up the total sequence and in general slows down clubhead speed. So bad advice.
In a nutshell, the point of this is to have both your left and right butt cheek push back and clip the noodle? Backswing right butt cheek, downswing left butt cheek? I sometimes struggle with an over the top as well so I think this is a drill to fix that?
Are you playing the Apex Pros or the Pro dots?
Apex Pros
What was the technology being used on Brodie? What’s it’s called? The company. If anybody can tell me that would be appreciated. Is it Swing Catalyst?
Trevor Tucker gears. And relax you can’t afford it.
how much a lesson?
3:20 The look of disgust!
I'm pretty hard on myself
Where’s the next course vlog
Colonial on Monday
High tech measuring of non-instinctive robotic mimicry......beautiful.
Just an observation....
If you're struggling to get your hips "negative" because you keep going "positive", MOVE THE BALL CLOSER TO (more under) YOU so you don't have to reach out/away from you as much for it.
In other words, reaching for the ball as you extend into contact is literally pulling your body forward.
Moving the ball closer to you will allow you to sit back more, and stay over your base as you work thru contact.
But what the hell do I know.
U should do a course vlog with dude perfect
If they are down I'm down.
Go meet gg swings !
When are you going pro Brodie?
Not for awhile
Why not ask for more shaft lean instead of numbers and values that lead to more shaft lean?
The Base Case why ...
@@arjanpetersen to speed up the improvement process. I prefer to get better faster
What's the cost to get those lesson?
You can check out their pricing altusperformance.com
It would be very cool if you collaborated with Tiger Woods!
You seem to really extent your arms when addressing the ball, should I be doing that?
Nah
No you should totally bend them
if you set up with your butt under you, in the downswing your butt will move back. check out ggswingtips on youtube!! your posture now "looks" athletic but its hard to maintain in the downswing.
Bryce 8 nonsense
I wanna play golf with you
Might have to do a Darkhorse charity tournament at some point
amazing video content. The background music is so distracting, Please lower the volume a bit so we can hear you. Cheers
