How brave are you Helen to frog those two garments, & sensible too, if you know you are not going to finish them. I think you have inspired me & I may go through my wips & do the same 👏. Your socks are lovely & you must finish those. I have finished three granny square jumpers. Instead of cardigans I made them into jumpers. My granddaughter has one as she liked it so much. Oh I always have to finish every current WIP before January 1. It’s a good thing I rarely have more than 2 projects on the needles at one time, but I do stress trying to get the needles cleared.
When you mentioned your boys being well-behaved I was not surprised. They love their Mum and I do t think they would want to upset you at Knit Night. 😉♥️ I am Team Frog it if the Love is Gone. 👍👍
I saw someone on IG saying that November was their WIP purge month, so that you go into Advent and also into January able to cast on whatever you want because you cleared all your WIPs in November. I thought that was such a good idea and I'm going to do it next year!
I’ve had a strangely monogamous knitting year, and have only 1 currently active wip 😱 I do have 4 blankets though which are seeing some excellent progress
A WIP review is such a good idea. I might have to give that a go during the week between Christmas and New Years. Those Twinkle Toes socks are lovely. Why wind off 50 grams for sock number two? Why don’t you just cast on the second sock from the inside and start knitting them concurrently. If you don’t cut you won’t end up with two little leftovers - you’ll just have one leftover ball. Same with commercial sock yarn. You can knit those from the inside and the outside at the same time - perhaps a bit of yarn barf in the beginning from the inside, but that usually is taken care of by they time you get to the end of the cuff.
