There's a lesson to learn form that video. Anyone can do that the level they want to upgrade the quality of their backyard. Your setup is going to be a biodiverse heaven!
@@StefanoIaniro I know I’m a little late, but I’m an amateur gardener and I’m wondering where on the branch should I prune the plant so it will be viable to grow
The amount of work you are putting in to create this pond is incredible and I really appreciate you sharing it with us in these videos. As I live in Japan, it is very nice to see all of the species you have in Canada. Again, thank you for posting this project, I can not wait to see what will come to use the new pond.
I really love this series. one of the few films that i have been waiting for and actively looking to see when it comes out. I cant wait for more. nicely done.
The only thing that I really DON'T like about these videos is that they end!!! 😊 I'm totally addicted to these!!! I just found this channel about a week ago and I can't get enough!!! It's so educational and just plain beautiful... Love it!!! ♥️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
This is so much fun to watch! Thank you for documenting all the work and thought going into it. The unexpected snow added some great drama! We applaud you every step of the way and are sure your efforts will be rewarded! Looking forward to more.
There should be many more people like you emphasising how important nature is. The way you convey important knowledge regarding nature and environment is awesome. Please produce more of these well made videos. They create more awareness for nature and how important it is for humans to preserve our environment. I gladly subscribed to witness more of your great work 👍
I love how much thought you've put into the habitat for the animals, it's not just for photography. If I had some property this would be a wonderful project. Thanks for sharing!
I was just looking the last couple days for an update, so happy you shared! It it obvious you have really thought this out, I was quite impressed with your plant selection and your economical use of cuttings, so many people do not understand how prolific and easy the willows are to propagate. I believe all your hard work will be worth it, your friends will be lining up to use your site! Thank you for sharing it all and I look forward to your future efforts.
Stefano your horticultural knowledge is astonishing. This build and development is so fascinating to watch and can’t wait to see the new photos and videos as a result.👍
A great video. I envy you the space that has allowed you to develop such a great pond facility. I am a great advocate of ponds in the garden to help amphibians, birds and insects, regardless of the space and scale. Even without a hide this has given me numerous photo opportunities as you might see if you take a look at the latest video in my own channel. Certainly you have given me some further ideas - on a smaller scale!!
Great video. I started watching it and was inspired to go out back and cut down a lot of the tall weeds around my small retention pond. I live in Florida just north of Tampa and we are heading into the rainy season so I wanted to trim it back before we got too much rain. We get a lot of typical FL waterfowl as well as other wildlife including gators. I came back in after trimming and finished watching. Thanks for the videos and the inspiration. Best of luck and I look forward to the next one. Tom
Your videos just make me so happy. I hope you consider publishing some "How To" books and you could definitely lead some photography workshops in your blind.

I am impressed with your plant/shrub knowledge! We will be starting a similar project in the coming years. One question, did you have to water the new cuttings periodically during the first year ( like during dry times)?
fascinating to watch u work, truly a labour of love of nature. great video and sound quality too, appreciate all the effort you put into production. thankful and glad that you're sharing your experience with the world.
I really enjoy watching your videos. Can't wait for a video on the Brown Thrashers. I saw my first ones at PN de Plaisance the first week of may. While I got some ok images, seeing how you recommend photographing them will help next time I come across these wonderful birds.
The mason bees lay the female eggs in the back of the hole, males in front.. drill the holes 6 inches deep and you should get plenty of bees. Woodpeckers will dig deep in your rotten wood tho so you might replace it with a dried but not rotten piece. I buy old metal tool boxes, cut chunks of 6x6 to fit and fill them full of holes. In the winter I close the lid of the toolbox which is mounted vertical on a post or building. I subbed when you put the post up, I love ponds and wildlife, watching your videos will be a treat.
It is amazing to see the work that goes into creating the habitat for a hide, rather than just going "I made a new pool" and then just lots of knockout photos! That tilling and Raking must have got boring in the 9 hours! Looking forward to seeing the next video!
@@StefanoIaniro true different bird songs would keep you going, now did it take 9 hours of solid work, or repeatedly stopping to see which birds were about??
Great ideas. We have constructed our own photoblind and pond on a much smaller scale. Amazing number of birds, mammals and reptiles came to be photographed. We are designing a new setup and your videos have given us many ideas and food for thought. We have a problem you don’t however. Where we are setting up is on a cattle ranch so we have to plan for cows and the chaos they can bring. Thanks for these videos. You are contributing a great deal to wildlife photography.
@@StefanoIaniro Well, the property owner has an earth moving company and is going to build us a big mound of dirt about 4 feet high and 30’ x 50’ and level the top. We will dig in the sunken photoblind and put the pond in front of it. We have planned for the lighting in the mound layout. We will put a fence around the mound that can’t be seen in the photos but hopefully will keep out the cows. We will probably put a hole in the fence down low and a ramp so the small animals can get in. This mound is in the water flood plane and the mound should allow us to still be dry in the event of a hurricane passage. Just another thing to think about. I’m glad we have so much cooperation from the landowner. He is interested in maintaining the blind for years to come when we are through with it. A place for grandkids and friends to see what’s out there. Thanks for your ideas.
