I have nothing against blink 182 and Green Day certainly had their low point
*cough cough* (father of all) but I’ve always been able to connect to Green Day on a much more emotional level

I like Blink don’t get me wrong, but in my opinion this isn’t much of a debate. Billie Joe is such good songwriter. Not that Tom and Mark don’t have some good lyrics. I just take Green Day much more seriously in general. As a guitar player myself I think Billie is better than Tom. Tom has some cool leads, but they are not really difficult at all to play. Billie has some legitimate solos and songs with chords not just power chords. Mike is easily a better bassist than Mark. Billie is a better vocalist than Mark or Tom. Travis is probably more talented than Tre, but Tre fits Green Day so well whereas sometimes Travis can really standout. I will say Father of All is legitimately bad outside of a few songs

I’m personally blink fan over Green Day. Good riddance is probably my fav song by gd. And American idiot is my fav album.

Ya plus if blink ever broke up. They’d have even more
