Scenic Drive to Aspen Colorado via Independence Pass During Fall Season

- This Meditative scenic drive to Aspen Colorado on Rock Mountains starts from Independence Pass point at elevation 12,095 ft (3,687 m) at Continental Divide viewpoint. It's about 20 miles of very curvy state road very many Aspen trees around the road. This very scenic road normally closed to traffic from October to May. During the fire season the road may be closed to larger vehicles. As of August 17th, 2020, the traffic on this road increased due to closure on I-70. It was very nice to see the Aspen trees with autumn colors and foliage during the fall season.

Dear Christine 👩 💐☕🥤🍮🍒, good afternoon 🌞 thank you glad you found tranquility in the heights of this video 🙏 Yes, very scenic road but I found myself avoiding rocks on the road or driving on one car wide pavement kind of exciting moments 😃 This camera that I mount outside has no display so aiming can be different sometimes 😅 Yes, the ride begins in an altitude more than 12000 feet where almost no tree can grow. About mid October 2016. Very scenic but from what I remember it was very demanding drive for the car. Need to use the engine braking very often ( especially with hybrid cars ) during downhill sections of the road 🏞️🗻
