Hi. Please im new to knitting, and this tutorial was too fast to understand, plus I couldn't see any of your hand movements and how you actually did the patterns. Could you please make another tutorial, a slower version which shows the steps while you knit
Instructions:
1. Cast on 33 stitches. Adjust by measuring the width of your phone (the shortest side), multiply by 2, and add 2 inches.
2. Knit 31 rows. Adjust by measuring the height of your phone and add 2 inches.
3. Cast off and leave a tail behind to use for the seam.
4. Stitch together sides of the bag and make sure the final seam is knotted inside for a clean look.
5. To make the strap: cast on 4 stitches and knit 50 rows. Cast off.
6. Take the stray string from the strap and weave into the sides of bag. Make sure final seam is inside of the bag. And you're done!

What does cast on 33 mean, but knit 31 rows mean?
You put on 33 little stitches then you actually knit 31 times, to knot one row you just knit until you knitted and there is noore stitches on your needle hope it helps! ❤@@pandaasmr9320
this is a cute idea, nice little gift, can be used for other things then a phone too, I might try this, have been very busy and when you knit and knit for day after day, sometimes you need a little break, but I might give this a try, just can not stay away from knitting for very long, all these great ideas.

Lifesaver. I learned how to straight knit before crochet. Knitting is just easier for me and i didnt want to go get more needles ( circle/curved) knitting needles. I knew there had fo be a way to straight knit the projects i want. I will be trying this in the Am 😂

This is really easy and looks amazing for starters of knitting 🧶 it is a bit hard and takes a long time but if u have the time u can make. It plus it looks really cute at the end ❤

personally, it took about 30-35 grams of yarn for me, which isn't very much. and this is very good as a first project, you should definitely try it out! :)

I find the multiply by two really confusing? We cast on 33 stitches and then another 33 and then add two inches so…we’re casting on how many stitches? Sorry but this is super confusing to me! Could someone please clarify!
hi, sorry for any confusion. I casted on 33 stitches personally for my phone size, but to do it for any phone size cast on enough for the width of your phone times two, plus two inches!

yes you can, you may need to adjust how many stitches you have across you have and how many rows so that it is the right size for what you want it to hold

hi ! could i know what yarn you used? i tried making one before but the pouch is very flimsy and stretches rly ugly when i put my phone in :(
she said she used a size 6 yarn :) I think a chunky yarn would be good for this project + appropriate needles (tightening your stitches just a little more than usual will probably make it bulkier (and more sturdy)) or you could use 5mm needles with the size 6 yarn

Yeah I used size 6 (bernat softee chunky) with size 13 needles. If it is too stretchy, use smaller needles for tighter stitches or maybe try crocheting instead because those stitches tend to stretch less.

You may want to use a less stretchy stitch, or crochet to avoid it stretching if you are carrying heavier things in the bag.

hey im really confused on how you attached the strap ? :(
You cut a piece of yarn and tie the strap and purse together on one side. Then weave it through the stitches to attach the strap, make sure to secure the end. Do this on both sides and you'll be done. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

yes! as long as the needles match the yarn, just make sure you adjust how many stitches you do because they will be smaller.

I used an 8 m needle but I think you can use any size.
I used size 13 with super chunky yarn. I would use the needle size that the yarn corresponds to for the best results :).
I did 31 rows and, it’s about half of what you knitted. Is there a way you could count your rows from a video, and then say the number please?

Ahh, I am sorry, look up how to cast on for knitting and you will find so many amazing, slower tutorials to follow for the beginning!
I have size 4 yarn, what should I do differently?
Use the needle size recommended by the packaging, and instead of matching the number of stitches I did, do enough to make it the length and width that you want your purse :).

Thanks! I may make a video soon with basics, but I recommend following many of the great tutorials already out there :). First I would look up how to cast on (how you start knitting), then look up a basic stich video (to actually make stuff), and then watch a casting off video when you are ready to end your project!
