for expats, i trust its unfair to give exam of both German and Driving at the same time!!!! if theory can be done in English then Practical should also be conducted in English, logically its Exam of Driving Skills and Not German Language???? I dont know to whom should I contact but certainly there must a platform to address this issue to remove bureaucracy.

I also failed once. I would not put blame on any one else. The driving standards are just very high here. Ability to drive a car is just basic, but public safety and rules are paramount here. It also creates better drivers and safer roads.

I am very sure you will clear your test this time. You have no reasons to be nervous. You have driven for so long and you will clear it now as well. Being nervous is part of the test taking process the other process is to ask yourself if you really need to be nervous considering you have nothing to lose but only to gain a license. I think the “test guy” already knew I was a driver and he made me just drive around the countryside to kill time and then we drove back. It was really odd, not at all what I was expecting! I was just talking to someone from Belgium last night and he was telling that getting your lic there is also not easy😅 So how did your test go? I had to drive through Belguim a couple weeks ago too and driving there on the “freeway” is soooo much less stressful than here in Germany!

Caution : I mistook circle for a roundabout. In a traffic Circle, right before left rule applies. It took a second for me to realise that. Be aware !!.
In my experience I felt that I missed the signs when I was nervous. Sometimes confusing a 50 zone for a 30 zone. Been almost 1.5 years since I got mine. Now that I look back I still feel some mistakes could be waived off in the test but unfortunately not. Not the examples given in the video but like stopping at a stop sign for 3 seconds even when the whole street is dead empty

I totally understand the pain of getting a driving license in germany. Today I passed exam today which was my sheer luck as I thought I will not get license as I made some mistake during exam. But it was my luck where examiner understood the situation.
I finally passed my practical exam after 3 attempts. I took a lot inspiration from you guys and the one you mentioned from Quora. Although I have driven a lot before, exams here were very stressful for me. Each time it was a simple mistake. All I had to do was be patient, be confident and remain calm for those 45 mins. I failed in first attempt due to missing 30km/h for 200m sign and second attempt due to driving 10-15km/h lesser than the speed limit. So, quite frustrating.

Hey Bro. I failed my exam today. I believed I was well prepared the blender was my driving instructor told 13.15 I assume 3.15. I was late I got a call at 13.20 where you then I rushed from cycle to reach TUV in 10mins which is around 3kms from my home. Somehow I started with this blunder. All was going ok then I took wrong exit in Roundabout instead 3 I took 2 then it was complete disaster I was nervous and then somehow came out from that and on give away I allow a truck to pass then there was a car which I overlooked then the beep sound. Thanks for your video definitely gave some power and confidence..
You taking the wrong turn was not a mistake though. Driving in wrong directions is completely fine but i get it the nervousness comes along. I think now you know what might have went wrong. Next one should be fine . All the best
Don't memories question , try to understand all theories.there are lots of questions ,but it revolved around handful of logic. So my advice is don't memories and just understand it .
The most important point would be, take more classes if you are not sure. It's cheaper that way... You spend 50 euros avg per class... But if you fail the practical then you spend almost 300 euros every attempt and then wait again for another date. So don't rush.... Keep calm. Also in india you learn how to drive a car. But in Germany they evaluate your road rules understanding. So never compare your Indian driving experience to that of German. If you are from India then you only know how to operate a vehicle but never how to drive safely according to traffic rules. Hence better to think of yourself as a young driver here in Deutschland.
Just a hypothetical question.Does that imply that you will feel safe as a passenger of new German licence holder compared to that of a person who has driving experience of 20-30 years in India ? Also let’s exchange their place of driving. I agree that rules create a safe driving environment. But disagree to say all people driving in India are merely vehicle operators. Safe driving is ones own prerogative and sometimes have nothing to do with the way you have learned driving.

i passed theory and pratical 1st time in the uk, i got my full liscence last month, very pleased cos there was a point where i though it was all over, but i managed to save it at the last minute and the examiner said that id also failed

One more point I would like to add - The common mistake of not stopping for 3 seconds at a STOP sign. But as soon as I made the mistake I realized it during my test and the examiner spared me.

I failed the 1st attempt of practical exam yesterday, while turning left into a multiple lane roadway and choosing the wrong lane. I am still under shock. the time, money and energy one invests in it is crazy. I had to give my theory also 3 times even after passing the 1st attempt with zero mistakes; it expired due to a lack of appointments given by my previous driving school. I just failed my second attempt. I thought I will write, only when I pass. But.. At my first attempt, it was raining heavily, and I was too close to the parked cars, missed to maintain at least 1 mt, without I realising it. 2nd attempt : today (already was feeling very low), was a great sunny day, nice examiner. Te exam started at Toom parking lot. It was busy parking lot. A huge truck was parked , which ceased 1 driving road, I had to take another way and I had very little space to take a left turn, mean while due to exit, entry to be the same, many trucks and cars kept coming I turned around and tried to exit, but it was mainly my problem of patience and I had to wait. My trainer pushed the brake. Exam over, before even touching the road. Now, I have wait 14 days for next appointment. Thank you for this video, at least I do not feel so dumb.
Love from Berlin, Germany 🇩🇪. I am at the same boat and when I saw the mistake I was shocked that I did same mistake in my practical exam. Mistake 2 while taking left turn as the car was in front of me when left green arrow was there moment i tried my trainer stopped me as it instantly turned red.

so the mistake was that i was on the left most lane while taking right turn . after taking the right turn i went further and drove off. after taking the right turn, i should have indicated right and moved to the right lane and continued driving
Let me tell you what i did. I memorized everything but still i got answers wrong. So i had to redo the memorizing. I went through the 1100 questions 3 times. Don't give the test unless in every mock test you get full marks

Well if you are talking about Theory Test. Then you can go ahead with Fahrschulcard app. In any case to give the test you will need to be registered with a driving school

Hi, I drove 2 years to pass UK driving test in the third attempt. So, unlike in India, it is not uncommon to fail the driving tests multiple times abroad. Just keep practising, that's all.

I called twice already and funny thing is I was driving in India so I can drive literally anywhere... first time was bad luck thanks to another delivery driver raging I went closer than the abstand to parked car trust me I wouldn't have hit it.. second was a road which looks like a building exit due to size and kerbstones instead of road but is a goddamned street so I should have slowed down.. I think 2nd was too strict as there was no car ob right either
I came back to this video again today. Had passed my thoery test with zero errors in my first attempt and was ecstatic.. couldn't believe it was going to be that painless but reality struck me today when I failed my practical test. This is one great video man and love your channel btw. 😊

Would need some advice. I failed my driving test twice with a German driving school. apparently, it seems that the instructor is decent(not impatient/arrogant). Although it's my fault during the tests(e.g. wrong alignment during a left turn at a junction which was w/o a traffic light), probably a better explanation may help. what would be your suggestion based on experience? should I change my school? I am asking as I have only 3 months' time to clear my practical before I need to repeat the theory test again. In the worst case, I would have to make 2 more attempts before 05/04/2023.
don’t change schools and go through the hassle. Give your best in the next exams. Don’t think much about the consequences as in what if i fail again or so ? Just take it as another normal day
Man… I needed to see/hear this video. I’ve failed once and I have another test tomorrow that I am not feeling super confident about. If I fail tomorrow, I’ll have to take theory alllll over again. My German is terrible. This is going to be a shit show. An EXPENSIVE shit show. I’ll take all the advice I can get and I am usually a pretty confident person. I felt great about my first test. But knowing what I know now, I don’t think tomorrow will be any better. 🙁
I am German and despite the fact that I understand the language, I once failed the exam. The second time I would have failed too, but the examiner gave another chance .. I then passed. There are rules in road traffic and you have to follow them and if you don't follow them you may be dead.
In my opinion the test can still be made a bit easier. Some benefit of doubts also included. Unfortunately the instructors have been doing the same job on the same route for 25 years or more. They know what happens. It completely depends on the mood of the examiner on a given day. I have seen people giving test for 20 mins that is like 25 mins less than the regulated examination time
Yes you can take a test with glasses. It’s not a problem for passenger vehicle license conversion. Converting indian licence will always require you to give theory and practical exams here as well.
Thank you so much for this video. It was as if finally someone has understood the pain I have been going through for past 3 years. I failed my theory once and cleared it in Jan 2020. Then, I gave practical test thrice in 2020 and failed each time. Whereas, my husband and one of my friends cleared their practical in first attempt. I was so depressed that I did not go to the Fahrschule for entire 2021. My friends still make fun of me. I have again started taking driving lessons. My Theory test is valid till June 2022. I hope I clear by that time. Clearing my driving test is the biggest monkey sitting on my shoulders for past 2-3 years now and then I see my friends driving around me.
Did you do it? I know exactly how you feel once. I passes the theory test on the 2nd try. I take my 2nd practical exam tomorrow and I am not feeling good about it. I am feeling like an idiot, and if I fail my whole family will see me as a failure (and they will). This feeling sucks.

once you fail you need to wait 14 days before the next one and also do some lessons in between. The examiner does not care for how many lessons you need before the next exam or for that matter how many classes you already took. Your instructor decides that if you need more classes

Because the Fahrschule they just want your money and that's why they won't let you to drive by ur own and to learn somethin, always they are trying to destroy your concentration like you feel yes you are really bad at driving so please note it when your teacher doesn't let you drive by your own try to change him.@@sophiabest1492

I’m Indonesian and have been driving in Jakarta for more than 5 years. And the traffic there might be more or less similar with India 😅 so I failed theory once and failed my second practical today, because of a stupid mistake. The first time I failed it felt so surreal and hit my confidence hard as it made me question myself if I am too dumb to drive in Germany. This time though, I failed, but it actually gave me a boost of confidence seeing how sorry the Prüfer was of not being able to pass me, cause he really wanted to. i passed theory and pratical 1st time in the uk, i got my full liscence last month, very pleased cos there was a point where i though it was all over, but i managed to save it at the last minute and the examiner said that id also failed

One more point I would like to add - The common mistake of not stopping for 3 seconds at a STOP sign. But as soon as I made the mistake I realized it during my test and the examiner spared me.

I failed the 1st attempt of practical exam yesterday, while turning left into a multiple lane roadway and choosing the wrong lane.
I am still under shock. the time, money and energy one invests in it is crazy.
I had to give my theory also 3 times even after passing the 1st attempt with zero mistakes; it expired due to a lack of appointments given by my previous driving school.

I just failed my second attempt. I thought I will write, only when I pass. But..
At my first attempt, it was raining heavily, and I was too close to the parked cars, missed to maintain at least 1 mt, without I realising it.
2nd attempt : today (already was feeling very low), was a great sunny day, nice examiner. Te exam started at Toom parking lot. It was busy parking lot. A huge truck was parked , which ceased 1 driving road, I had to take another way and I had very little space to take a left turn, mean while due to exit, entry to be the same, many trucks and cars kept coming I turned around and tried to exit, but it was mainly my problem of patience and I had to wait. My trainer pushed the brake. Exam over, before even touching the road.
Now, I have wait 14 days for next appointment.

so the mistake was that i was on the left most lane while taking right turn . after taking the right turn i went further and drove off. after taking the right turn, i should have indicated right and moved to the right lane and continued driving

Let me tell you what i did. I memorized everything but still i got answers wrong. So i had to redo the memorizing. I went through the 1100 questions 3 times. Don't give the test unless in every mock test you get full marks

next test is usually after 14 days of cooloff period. One tip i got for everyone try doing everything that does not makes you nervous , just treat it as a simple day

Well if you are talking about Theory Test. Then you can go ahead with Fahrschulcard app. In any case to give the test you will need to be registered with a driving school

Hi, I drove 2 years to pass UK driving test in the third attempt. So, unlike in India, it is not uncommon to fail the driving tests multiple times abroad. Just keep practising, that's all.

Wow lucky you... I called twice already and funny thing is I was driving in India so I can drive literally anywhere... first time was bad luck thanks to another delivery driver raging I went closer than the abstand to parked car trust me I wouldn't have hit it.. second was a road which looks like a building exit due to size and kerbstones instead of road but is a goddamned street so I should have slowed down.. I think 2nd was too strict as there was no car ob right either

Would need some advice. I failed my driving test twice with a German driving school. apparently, it seems that the instructor is decent(not impatient/arrogant). Although it's my fault during the tests(e.g. wrong alignment during a left turn at a junction which was w/o a traffic light), probably a better explanation may help. what would be your suggestion based on experience? should I change my school? I am asking as I have only 3 months' time to clear my practical before I need to repeat the theory test again. In the worst case, I would have to make 2 more attempts before 05/04/2023.
don’t change schools and go through the hassle. Give your best in the next exams. Don’t think much about the consequences as in what if i fail again or so ? Just take it as another normal day

Man… I needed to see/hear this video. I’ve failed once and I have another test tomorrow that I am not feeling super confident about. If I fail tomorrow, I’ll have to take theory alllll over again. My German is terrible. This is going to be a shit show. An EXPENSIVE shit show. I’ll take all the advice I can get and I am usually a pretty confident person. I felt great about my first test. But knowing what I know now, I don’t think tomorrow will be any better. 🙁

I am German and despite the fact that I understand the language, I once failed the exam. The second time I would have failed too, but the examiner gave another chance .. I then passed. There are rules in road traffic and you have to follow them and if you don't follow them you may be dead.
In my opinion the test can still be made a bit easier. Some benefit of doubts also included. Unfortunately the instructors have been doing the same job on the same route for 25 years or more. They know what happens. It completely depends on the mood of the examiner on a given day. I have seen people giving test for 20 mins that is like 25 mins less than the regulated examination time

Yes you can take a test with glasses. It’s not a problem for passenger vehicle license conversion. Converting indian licence will always require you to give theory and practical exams here as well.

Thank you so much for this video. It was as if finally someone has understood the pain I have been going through for past 3 years. I failed my theory once and cleared it in Jan 2020. Then, I gave practical test thrice in 2020 and failed each time. Whereas, my husband and one of my friends cleared their practical in first attempt. I was so depressed that I did not go to the Fahrschule for entire 2021. My friends still make fun of me. I have again started taking driving lessons. My Theory test is valid till June 2022. I hope I clear by that time. Clearing my driving test is the biggest monkey sitting on my shoulders for past 2-3 years now and then I see my friends driving around me.

Did you do it? I know exactly how you feel once. I passes the theory test on the 2nd try. I take my 2nd practical exam tomorrow and I am not feeling good about it. I am feeling like an idiot, and if I fail my whole family will see me as a failure (and they will). This feeling sucks.

Yes, they do tell but during the test it's a different story and different route. You might or you might not make the same mistakes again

I’m Indonesian and have been driving in Jakarta for more than 5 years. And the traffic there might be more or less similar with India 😅
so I failed theory once and failed my second practical today, because of a stupid mistake. The first time I failed it felt so surreal and hit my confidence hard as it made me question myself if I am too dumb to drive in Germany.
This time though, I failed, but it actually gave me a boost of confidence seeing how sorry the Prüfer was of not being able to pass me, cause he really wanted to. It’s funny how the Prüfer, who is supposed to be the source of my anxiety, gives me a boost of confidence my Fahrlehrer cannot give.
