I am from a little island in the Caribbean and when I was a kid there was group of missionaries who gave us some WOW CD's and this song was in it, I remember dancing and praising with my cousin in our living room and this one was our favorite. I remember seeing Richard Smallwood in a small church in Kansas City when I was younger. He was playing the piano and I just remember never hearing nothing like what he played. It was so beautiful and heavenly you can tell God is within him. I think about it from time to time.

Thank you for this post. Richard was one of the first gospel artist I fell in love with when I was new to my walk with Christ. Listening to this music brings me back to my teenage years. I was the only one in my household attending church. I used to play my music in my bedroom and be so happy.

Perhaps I’d put Donald Lawrence’s choirs (the Tri-City Singers, etc.) in that category too, but that’s about it. Richard Smallwood put together one GREAT ensemble back in ‘95.
