Mr. Jansen, thank you so so much for all these wonderful videos and for all the time you give to make them. It really is appreciated. Also, it is a pleasure to get to spend time with you. Your friendly, patient manner makes it seem like we are spending an hour or more in the company of a good friend. Now, whilst I don't paint flowers (I'm a landscape painter) I've found many of your flower painting techniques transfer very readily over to landscapes and I've discovered new ways of working. I hope that makes sense. Obviously, your wonderful landscape tutorials are incredible but these flower painting demos are also stunning and really enjoyable. Again, thank you for all your hard work and for sharing your talents with us.

Makes perfect sense. It is all paint, art and visual. Thank you so much for the comment. I have lots more landscape coming as well. I try to post a new one each week!

So glad you don't let the negative comments get you down. Personally, I enjoy your conversations. I always find them interesting and engaging. I am rather demanding of content providers and if I'm bored to death by someone constantly repeating the same things and prattling on just to hear themselves talk, I quickly lose interest. Perhaps it's because I believe we're roughly from the same generation and I relate to many of the things you discuss. In any event, I appreciate all the information that you share and I feel like you're an old friend stopping by to visit while you work on yet another amazing painting demonstration. If your style doesn't match their temperament then people just need to move on. I can think of many creators that I have watched who know their stuff and present good, solid information and yet I can't stand to listen to their presentation. It truly is impossible to please everyone and it's pointless to try.
Keep putting out the same great content you have been. I'm sure the majority of your viewers would agree that it's always a joy to watch each of your greatly anticipated uploads.

Mr. Jensen, I appreciate the time you've taken to describe every step. I am a beginner. And eventhough I wasn't able to paint along at this time, I was able to follow along visual, watching the subject evolve. I like that this was a slower paced tutorial. It's true Mr. Ross painted an entire picture in 30 mins or less. He also used larger brushes and painted on much larger canvas. Some people's comments, if and when I read them, just make me cringe sometimes. Just know, I appreciate your taking the time to teach via UA-cam. Thank you.

Hello David, well serendipity is a wonderful thing isn't it.
Sunday morning here in Perth Western Australia, I was just scrolling around Pinterest and saw this beautiful painting of these roses. Clicking on it bought me to your page, thanku gods of fate 😁😅
I've sat totally mesmerised by your tutorial, nodding my head when I understood and ahhing when I learnt something and grasped the technique. Your method is so easy, for want of a better word because I know it isn't, but u made me realise that if we follow and copy and understand your process we too may be able to paint something like this too.
The total process from the board, the brushes, the paint and the blending techniques, the blending mediums and the amazing science behind making the colours. How these amazing primary colours make all the colours we'll ever need to paint anything we desire. It still makes me feel like a alchemist making magic, how totally wonderful.
Of course none of it is possible till I stumble over a magician like yourself. Thanku for explaining it all in such layman's terms for us that really don't know what on earth we're doing 😅😁 but have always dreamt of creating something so stunning as these roses.
I've subscribed and now pretty excited about checking out your other tutorials.
I watch all the reruns of Bob Ross over here in Oz, just love his techniques too, they help me to think that I can do it too.
So very glad I found your channel David, you are a wonderful tutor.
    Best wishes
    Kaz from Oz 😁😊

David I am a new artist. I started this last August after retirement. You really explain things so I understand. Some artist on UTube confused me using white on paintings for light. Of course when I tried it the white stuck out like a sore thumb. Using halftones and going lighter makes more since to me. And I love your stories , I don’t think you talk to much. I will continue watching and hopefully one day mine will look beautiful like yours.

Really enjoyed this presentation David. Appreciate your instructions and can’t say enough how much I have continued to learn from your videos. Thank you so much for the longer detailed instruction. I am finally making a connection from the colors on the palette to the tones on the canvas.

What a great lesson. I am def going to try this out. This is really the best way to paint in my humble opinion. These half tones. Ive watched and watched but NOW I get it. I got it before but now I feel like I will use it more and more. Excellent teacher. Thanks again. Also, this is a technique that takes time to learn. Its a lesson. It should go slow, by the way. Poo to those who are so impatient and want the lesson to go faster. There are plenty of elementary paintings on you tube that are done in 10 min. As for me, i appreciate the slow explanation and demo. You paintings remind me so of Paul de Longpre paintings who I just love. (I wrote that about Paul before you said it!!! Ha)
