1:57 without notes. Didn't require any advanced logic but it was still fun.

    1’19 first run
    no notes, segment-based
    Nice solve! Persistence.
I think you’ll guess what I’ll say though. Baselines.
c5 & c6 resolve immediately without the back and forth and analysis. You started c5, but turned away before noticing the 4&5 were limited.
Likewise, you finish 1-5 in c6, but turn before noticing that 6&7 were limited.
Then the tops of c3 and c7 go.
Then c4 is another baseline. Same thing. You finish 1-4 and then turn to do a cross segment, not noticing that the 5, 6, & 7 all play.
You came back to it and at 3:54 you’re in a position I reached, but with more energy, time, thought expended.
You used the r6 partial baseline then (nice) and wrapped up.
I think it’s a sudoku scanning habit…this daisy chaining digit to digit almost always looking to change direction. Very useful there.
It’s just not as useful in One Up where squares never have that scope and every square will narrow both its vertical segment and horizontal segment but not much else.
Took awhile for me to break it and I’m still trying to force myself not to chase squirrels.
As for baselines, I posted an Afternoon Run of Puzzle 708 yesterday as an example. Lots of fun there.
