- Redmayne Head cutter, Tom Mahon talks through all the details of @Redmayne1860 soon to be launched Ready to be Worn suit collection. Take a glimpse at the detail that you'll soon be able to buy direct from the Redmayne website.
Smart move, Tom. This will provide access to your suiting expertise to more clients, and to see how they are made gives the buyer the assurance of quality that is included in all your offerings. Well done.
Almost impossible to buy a 3 roll 2 in RTW. I absolutely love the grey suit! Decent lapel width, Ticket pocket! Absolutely perfect 👍
Spier and Mackay offers numerous 3/2 coats as well, though they're at a significantly different price point so the Redmayne will of course be far superior. I say that as one of Spier's biggest fans as well.
@@armedferret thanks for the update! But being based in the UK I’ll probably have to pay a customs charge when buying! Also Cavour which is slightly more expensive has a couple of 3R2 suits.
I am going with the gray.
*WHEN I STARTED TAILORING* historical men's suits 4 years ago I worked from an old book [1890] that had me canvas EVERY panel on the coat including the arms + pad stitching
At first it was like putting on a suit made of cardboard, but after about 2 weeks of daily wear it has steamed and shaped to my body and they became SO comfortable. I've since moved on to the floating canvas construction, but it is a unique feel putting on one of the old coats, like putting on bespoke armor - I think Chanel and some couture houses still use this method...?
Everyone: Ready to wear
Tom: Ready to be worn
These are such a good idea. I love your videos and products and will be purchasing for sure. I am only 25 but obsessed with tailoring, one day I hope to be in your bespoke/MTM
Fully floating Canvassed now I know. Now I know what makes it right. Beautiful.
Fantastic news! I'm so happy. I know what my next suit purchase will be.
I have replied to your email that I am interested in ordering one. Can't wait for further details.
Very nice looking suit. I have an appointment in September to come to your London store to be measured for a made to measure - seems like a ready to wear MAY be an option. Thank you for the effort put forth to show Redmayne’s practices to make fine English tailoring.
Excellent. I hope you will do extremely well. I will be buying
This is very goog news! I might consider this option. Thank you Mr Mahon !
Very excited for this!
*ILL BE HONEST* I would never have pegged that the 3R2 was RTW - [I mean obviously the fit will give it away unless yu get it altered] - but it definitely has a bespoke look to it at first glance.
Thanks Tom for another enjoyable presentation. It is quite hard to get a 3 to 2 button roll style coat - and indeed a double breasted coat as well - in ready to wear so they look very bespoke. Good job from the styling team.
Would love to try these one day. You made some great choices with these two offerings.
Excellent idea! Clearly a lot of thought and effort has gone into launching this too, looking forward to getting up to London and purchasing mine 👍
Well done. I'm signing up.
Love it. Can't wait to get further details later so I can order one.
Definitely looking forward to this! Cheers 🍻
I am ready to order:)
this is fantastic, looking forward to it
Woah!!! Best RTW Suits, they look like.
Had to laugh on the suitsupply remark. The suits look nice, especially the 3r2!
What is the country of manufacture?
In north america so i grabed Tom Ford Windsor jacket. Great english look.
My goal is to buy a bespoke suit from you one day.
I was considering a local MTM navy suit this summer but I might have to go with this instead (I can't get to the UK easily so MTM from Redmayne isn't an option).
Both suits look very good for ready made. I think this is a good idea.
So kind, thank you. Best, Tom.
Very impressive work! Will you also make them in long and short sizes? And if you make them in longer sizes, will you make any adjustments to the trousers (as opposed to just making a longer jacket and making the regular trousers in unheemmed form)? And finally, what do you reckon the price point will be for these r2w garments?
I am interested in the MTM program at Redmayne. But, I don't think they visit my city. I'm not planning to visit London anytime soon.
Dear Sir,
Thank you for commenting. This is the way forward _ ua-cam.com/video/7Pz5Q1i8XMU/v-deo.html. Best, Tom.
Very nice!! How much to purchase in GBP? How do we go about ordering?
I enjoyed the video, curious about pricing, and whether or not something could be shipped to the US. in the meantime, keep up the good work happy new year and hopefully I’ll get a response
Dear Sir,
We probably ship about 50% of our work to the USA and we make regular visits. Thank you for watching and commenting. My very best, Tom.
Beautiful! How to order and pricing?
Hi, greetings from mexico, does the RTW from your website includes the trousers?
Certainly does. Thanks for watching. Best, Tom.
Mr Mahon, please correct me if I am wrong. If anyone wants to wear a super formal 3 piece suit, it goes without saying that they should avoid the 3 rolled into 2 type of suit with slanted pockets and stick to classic 2 buttons with straight pockets? Is it a mismatch or shabby to wear the slanted pockets or 3 rolled into 2 with a waistcoat when you want a formal look?? Please let us know your expert thoughts.
3x2 is less formal and more sporty but not set in stone. If you want absolute classic then I'd agree, 2 button, straight flaps. Thank you for watching.
AND how much does a 3 piece sute Luke these cost AND be shipped to México?
ررراااقي ❤❤❤❤❤
Why is his waistcoat gapping so much at the neck
His is me, That's what happens when you're bent over a cutting board for 40 years! Thanks for watching and commenting. Best, Tom.
@@savilerowtales Haha thanks. Greetings.
I m looking to get a suit and sports coat if I can get an email, telephone number or way to get in touch. I even have my measurements or suit size.
Here you go and thanks for watching - redmayne1860.com/pages/contact-us
what's the point of paying top$ for a suit that's not fitted to your body, it just doesn't make sense to me, If I need something quick because I have a wedding to go to in a week, I'd prefer buying something polyesther that I can toss away in a few months, if I want a high quality suit I'm gonna pay a lot more and make sure it's perfect so I can wear it until I retire... just no where in between for me...
Wouldn't we all Sir. As you said, not always possible. Thanks for watching. Best, Tom.
Interesting Tom. Ready to wear is Ready to wear. THanks for sharing' Not a fan of the pleats
Suits look great, though I don't like the sham buttons on the cuffs. Most decent RTW have working buttons and I think this should be standard now. Having the option of altering isn't really a good reason for sham buttons as if it isn't the correct size, customers will just exchange for correct size. I think you should reconsider on the sham buttons as they are usually linked to cheap suits. That said, very positive offering from Redmayne 👍
I actually prefer the sham buttons. My arms are slightly shorter than standard. Even a 42S coat is too long on the sleeve for me. I get frustrated when coats have working cuff buttons as I can’t get them shortened
