    Nice video!!
    Pianoteq 8 is SO expressive!! And truly sounds so real (as in 'recorded' pianos), there is little else a musician/player might need to compose or perform. It's likely not THE only piano library a musician may ever 'want', but it (pro-version) would be MY piano program or sole instrument, if I could only have 'one'.

      Physical modelling has achieved an unprecedented level of detail that gets better with each version of Pianoteq, as it does not rely on and is therefore not limited by the amount of samples. There are no dynamic layers in the classical sense and therefore smoothness of dynamic play is only dependent on the keyboard and the player.
      The modification possibilities are endless and once you have internalised how to achieve which sound, you can delete all piano libraries from your computer, because Pianoteq can do everything. It even goes so far that you can create almost all sound qualities and colours with only one piano. Sample libraries can pack up.

    You have provided the most beautiful and generous presentation of this magnificent instrument . This is exactly what I’m looking for.
    I assume this is the Pro Piano 8 version? And how many of these packets come with that version? Do I need the Bundle, or will the Pro package provide all heard here.
    Beautiful musicianship by the way . A true artist you are!

    Nice demo, Ruben! Love your improv. I've really enjoyed v8. I'm not reaching for many other pianos these days, either. I fire up their guitar all the time to just relax and noodle around, it's so much fun to play. Looking forward to seeing your video on that!

    I don't quite understand what you get by default with the "Stage" version versus what the two instrument packs are? By two instrument packs do they mean that you choose two different pianos and that's it? Or are the instrument packs in addition to any pianos that come with the Stage version? I studied their website but could not make sense of it. For example, in your review of the Pro version, what do you get by default and which are the four instrument packs that you chose? It's too confusing.

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  2 роки тому

      For example, if I got the pro version, I could choose an NY Steinway, Rhodes, Classical Guitar, and Steel Drum.
      Anything else would be like $50 or so to add.
      If you wanted their entire instrument collection, or their pro studio bundle, it would be $900. They’re called packs because of the presets, which make it sound like different pianos. You get to choose which ones you want. Hope this helps.

    • @alfredohuerta5688
      @alfredohuerta5688 2 роки тому

      @@hifimidi So, in your demo I see that you have 12 acoustic pianos on the list which means that you paid $50 for each of the extra ones. Am I correct? If I bought the Stage version would I only have 2 acoustic pianos without paying extra money for more pianos? If so, which 2 pianos would you recommend?

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  2 роки тому +1

      @@alfredohuerta5688this is an NFR version for demo purposes. With the Pro studio bundle, you get it all for a lower price than buying separately.
      As for your other question, It depends on the music you make. I personally like the starting point of the NY Steinway. It has a medium tone that can be made darker or brighter.
      The U5 is also good to have. Upright sounds are very distinct. I also really like their Rhodes and classical guitar. But their pianos are so customizable that you can get the sound you want with a few tweaks.

    Is your midi keyboard with weighted keys? It gives the feeling of actually pressing a piano key

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, it’s weighted, but Kontrol S88 keys are not as heavy as a real piano. They work well for piano, organ, and synth, but not the best for either.
      A more piano-like keybed would be a Kawai VPC1. That has actual piano action.

    2:26 - actually, pteq is a real piano. Digital and acoustic pianos are both real pianos. That's why we call them pianos. They're pianos. Real pianos. That's when pteq is hooked up to a key-board and pedals etc. What you actually meant is - pteq is not an 'acoustic' piano.

  • @JohannesLabusch
    @JohannesLabusch Рік тому +3

    It's very very good. Years from now, we'll look back and say "We thought it was the end-all, be-all. How naive we were!" I mean, I find it truly inspiring, but how can people honestly claim it's "just like a real grand"? Every once and again, I'll hit a note that makes me go "oooops", 'cause it sounds like a 1980s synth has snuck into my Blüthner.
