After watching many Aussie and American modified car videos it's great to see the Aussie safety crews jump into action so swiftly to reduce any danger and harm unlike many of the American crew that I've seen that look ultra slow and a little hap hazzard in their approach. Onya Fellas!
We absolutely love this guy he just loves that loud pedal , seen this car many times around Sydney events & of course the creek Wow the best burnout I ever saw..... loved the fire show too
@camaros65 What happens is when blown methanol cars do big long burnouts with mufflers on the unburnt fuel fuel starts to pool in the mufflers, then the steel belts start sparking and the fuel starts to ignite. With a big of exhaust velocity from high rpm it was throw the flames quite a distance.
@blownhemi If you notice at the end of the clip, the fuel starts burning before the tires are even spinning. After a burnout that long the exhaust gets red hot, igniting any unburned fuel in the system. As soon he starts smoking the tires again, the flames from the fuel act as an ignitor for the tire smoke.
To all those who are wondering how the tyres light up it's actually a combination of 3 things.. 1 when you run methanol especially in blown engines an pump the throttle the unburnt fuel lights up in the pipes.. 2 having your exhaust tips to close to the Tyres will also do it.. 3 doing burnouts in top gear with the tyers spinning in excess of 260 kmh or 150 mph will do it to... To those of you who are American check out some other Aussie burnouts it's quiet common over here to see that shit happ
@phillydog677 I'll agree to disagree with you. If it was just the exhaust getting hot then every car running methanol doing burnout would catch fire, but that's not the case. The ones most susceptible are the cars with their exhausts exiting near the tyres and they only catch fire near the end of the burnout when the steel belts start sparking.
@phillydog677 You'll also notice that when the last burnout starts, there is no tire smoke because it is getting burned, creating the large flames. My El Camino did the same thing a few years ago when I was burning off some old bias-ply tires I had lying around, and they have no steel belts. It was fun chatting with ya!
@redghost105 You could go one of the Holley/Weiand undebonnet units, they're much cheaper and you can bolt them to a near stock motor without killing them. Good performance for not alot of dollars. Or you could go a Weiand 6/71 kit, which will hang out the bonnet lots but you'll need a built motor to handle to power levels it'll reach.
@blownhemi Actually, the exhaust system gets so hot that every time he lets off the throttle, a bunch of unburnt fuel is ignited on the way out of the turndowns, which in turn burns the tire smoke.
@moparmaniac21 These aren't drag tyres though, this guy uses truck/4x4 tyres for his burnouts. On this car he doesn't like to pop the tyres, because it lands on the four link if he does, so he uses tyres he can abuse.
@redghost105 On the set-up I ran years ago (look up video Blown Charger ) I just used a set of cheap TRW forged pistons on stock rods and crank with a mild cam and stiffer valve springs. But that was with a 360 Chrysler which is a naturally tough engine. What engine are you using?
@VysexThexLegend Yeah, I just let them go for it. It probably gives me more views. :) The car runs a blown small block Chevy on methanol, the car is an Australian made HR Holden sedan.
@redghost105 Isn't a 350 a small block? Summit racing have a Weiand 177 small block kit for under $2500, should make an easy 7-10psi on a 350chev and put out around 450hp
@AD4212 not true at all, have you seen the new Ford Fiesta rally car that Ken Block is using, and the Focus he uses for WRC? Also the Viper and Corvette LeMans cars. And the Mustangs and Vipers in drifting. Audi is an EPIC car maker, but American cars can do a lot more than people think.
@udedmario Do you ever listen? Alot of burnout cars catch on fire because they are running on methanol. and the methanol builds up in the exuausts and eventually catches fire.
@GerrettJihad He's wrong sorry, if it had oil burning it would have been pissing smoke everywhere when it was idling, its just a fucking sick car. (and perhaps those exhausts do help, but anyone whos ever done a decent burn out knows your tyres will catch fire on their own)
Great vids BlownHemi. Just sad alot of other people are interested in starting flame wars,Trolling and Talking about stuff not even remotely related to a video. worst IMO is the 'Internet'Tough' guy who lacks basic intelingence but has a bank vault of swear words. Doesn't even bother to put them in a decent sentence. Anyways keep up the good vids. BTW whats the set up on this tyre burner Engine wise?
@killercrusher232 audi competed in IMSA and Trans-am series until americans banned them because they got owned. audi brought 4wd into rally in 82 and continued rallying until group-b got banned.
@PS3ProGamer13 so your saying that the torque had absolutely nothing to do with it, if you put those tires on any random car its going to catch on fire
We absolutely love this guy he just loves that loud pedal , seen this car many times around Sydney events & of course the creek Wow the best burnout I ever saw..... loved the fire show too

This is definately my favcourite of yours and is definately the best of its kind on UA-cam
Thanks for the kind comments guys, I think this video is one of the best I've got.

i was there for this in person and lost all my footage. i remember him picking up the steel plate that hit the drop tank
i can only imagine how loud and amazing this sounds in person
that car is sick.......love it....finest four door I've seen
Cheers
you dont need smoke bombs at the forth of july and new years when you have one of these and it makes noise that everyone loves
Cool vid, that things rocks.....
Ahhh the blower sound. Music to my ears!!
Awesome! Can't wait to see Sal @ Rodder's Life Sydney Nats! (Nov 2011, Eastern Creek)
Sweet Harold roberts,my favourite kind,the fire breathing kind
Now this is how a man is suposed to do a burnout!
Insane
@BJSteigner
It's a HR Holden, they were made around 1966/67
@blownhemi

@blownhemi no steel belts in drag tires. Its just the super hot tires were being ignited by the pipes spitting out flames.
@redghost105 You could go one of the Holley/Weiand undebonnet units, they're much cheaper and you can bolt them to a near stock motor without killing them. Good performance for not alot of dollars. @Syncrofan wrong, methanol buildup in the exhaust sparked by the chords sparking from being worn down.
That was wicked ... :D
That car is just pure evil ... :D
Outrageous!...just awesome
that was pretty kick ass
@blownhemi

Best Holden ever made !!

flames are cool he must be like hmmm lets give them a show and piss the fire figthers off
nice burnout:D :)
holy shit nice vid!!
I was there, was fun.
Holy dam that is sick
Didn't his mum ever tell him not to play in puddles.....Top effort.
@blownhemi The HR is a trim line....I looked it up and it's the Holden Special..How many cars does this racing team have?
The end is the best part by far!
@BJSteigner
Supercharged small block Chev, driver is Sal Mancuso
that was EPIC.
@blownhemi usally if you buy one does it come with the superchrager an plus the top of it where it sucks in all the air?
@turboaudia4
What's the problem? What part makes no sense?
if there really is a God, his name is Chevy and he IS an engine!
@AD4212 The car races as well, i'm pretty sure it has run high 8sec quarter mile times. This is a burnout competition, just having fun.
@blownhemi dam 10k is alot for me....what would be a low priced but good quility and good proformance blower?
@VysexThexLegend
Yeah, I just let them go for it. It probably gives me more views. :)
The car runs a blown small block Chevy on methanol, the car is an Australian made HR Holden sedan.
that firefighter was pissed
@redghost105 Nope, the Enderle injector hat, lines, pump, ect will cost you extra.
Blower, intake and fuel system, not much change from USD$10K
@redghost105
Isn't a 350 a small block?

@redghost105
I think it's a Littlefield 8/71
Yes!!! The flames are amazing!
The men with orange/yellow jackets started jizzing on the car
Fireman is like ''STOP IT'' :D
now thats a mean, redlining... wheel busting... pulley whining... flame bursting... tire smoking burnout
the fire fighter was having to much fun so he made him stop
funny and awesome ! thats what i call burn out. we burn until its burn out !
very gooooooooooooooooood. !
holy crap thats insane
lol that's what 48th and O in lincoln looks like on a Friday and Saturday night :D
@blownhemi how would i build the engine to fit the holley undebonnet?
holy crap FIRE!
i'm curious to know how it smells there
@udedmario Do you ever listen? Alot of burnout cars catch on fire because they are running on methanol. and the methanol builds up in the exuausts and eventually catches fire.
Now that is called a badd asss burnout....
Because he can, simple as that, it was made to do just that, since it's probably a drag car on the sidelines.
@blownhemi what model and year is the Holden he's driving??
@blownhemi what type of blower is that?
i want one for my chevelle malibu
@AD4212
It's not an American car, it's an Australian car.
Looks more like a smoke out, duuuuuude!
YEA!!! YOU JUST DESTROYED YOUR CAR!!! YEA!!!
it looks like those fire dudes are jizzing
XD
@btractor12
Nope, it's a Holden HR
the burning methanol caught the tire smoke on fire
nothing like getting hot rubber and cooling fire extinguisher fluid in the face :-)
2:54 a man said "don't! don't! don't!"
put the flames out because i ain't done. nice
I think this is in Australia hey? dude the ozzies know how to burnout propper
I want that as my getaway car...lol
nice. those flames would cook like 500 sausages
@AD4212 audis are good but they are for more track racing than strait line with all of the high tech suspention and braking
This is how we roll in Australia
This is the definition of holy fuck
@GerrettJihad He's wrong sorry, if it had oil burning it would have been pissing smoke everywhere when it was idling, its just a fucking sick car. (and perhaps those exhausts do help, but anyone whos ever done a decent burn out knows your tyres will catch fire on their own)
GM vs. Chrysler...which has a better big block and more power?? How about Ford's big block?

this shit is really M@@@D!!!!1 i luv it
@PS3ProGamer13 so your saying that the torque had absolutely nothing to do with it, if you put those tires on any random car its going to catch on fire
i bet he watched the video after and realised holy shit that was worse than i thought
dumb fire boys; flames from unburnt fuel when he stoked it and backed off. all very well down mate true master and nice metal
it must be james bond's old car. It has the smokescreen option
THAT.WAS.SKILLAGE.IN.THE.VILLAGE.!!!
Houston, WTF...over?
2:55 lol the fireman is tired of putting out this guys flames
how the hell did he do that
i guess thats what happens when u put the exhaust straight at the tires lmao
what engine is in this one? Who is the driver?
We absolutely love this guy he just loves that loud pedal , seen this car many times around Sydney events & of course the creek Wow the best burnout I ever saw..... loved the fire show too
