    I need to know what that blue aero lid is! Reminds me of a Rische helmet. Nice job btw man I am also a fellow car painter and ironically a DH skater 😂 I don’t tend to dabble in cool custom work like this though 👌

    Man that looks spectacular😊 ....
    Now how much would something like this cost? I'm honestly intrigued...

      the striped helmet should have been around $1500, the lowrider style helmet should have been $2600. I ended up finishing both these helmets for free as I quoted low. (Canadian $)

    Absolutely stunning 🤙
    Can I ask a question in regards to the 7 coats of clear with the initial two being tack coats. Were the remaining 5 one after the other with the 10-15 downtime or was it longer span between?

    • @SlickWorks
      @SlickWorks  2 місяці тому +1

      @@davisgailitis yep, all 5 in one night. 12-15 minutes between coats, no solvent pop!

      @SlickWorks damniwas just doing mine and on 3rd has solvent pop... Never scrambled so hard to remove a coating hahahaha.
      Ty for response 🤙

      @SlickWorks  2 місяці тому +1

      @davisgailitis more patience! Longer wait times between coats and you wont have solvent pop 🙂 Best of luck!

    When you apply the clear coat, what are you scuffing/sanding with before you lay down the graphics? Grey scotchbrite?

    Where do you get your paint? And what kind of paint do you use for your skate decks? Your stuff is awesome!

    • @SlickWorks
      @SlickWorks  10 місяців тому +1

      Thank you! I get most of my paint from Horizon. On skate decks I use whatever i feel like at the time. sometimes solvent base, some times water base, sometimes both!

    Mr . Slick, sir, you're a bigger than life inspiration for a 60 year old handicapped life long hobbyist automotive backyard painter . I seriously doubt there being enough wind left in my sails due to the expense of setting up, and then there's all the health issues that mostly keep me in severe pain, and i live in Bible belt Tennessee which has recently screwed the people who hurt supposedly trying to gain control of the junkies. Anyway, I have actually set out to speak to you as personally as I possibly can . I've tried over a year now to follow your UA-cam videos channel and for some reason unbenounced to me it ain't happening. Something did pop up when i watched your video giving Ms. Slick the gorgeous silver wagon sayin Something to the effect of cable channels and being charges ? I've never seen a pop-up like that before. I'm able to enjoy your content, but i have got to hunt it down and I am thinking this could be screwing you out of followers .. Just trying to help a brother out as best i can . I watch from the Nashville Tennessee area living about 15 minutes north of Nashville and 25 minutes south of the Yankee border Commonwealth Kentucky 😂. Thats a joke for your ky friends. I haven't found a painter I'd rather gather tricks from, and wish your content was easier to get.

      Hello again, my friend! Well all my content is free, of course. If you buy UA-cam Premium, there are no ads, but thats about it. I just havent uploaded in a long time but Im glad you enjoy my content!
      Also I would absolutely love to visit Tennessee one day... Or Kentucky. Im up here in Langley, BC,Canada. We get hot weather for like 4 months per year then its back to wet, cold miserable cloudy grossness.
