How great was Terry Holmes
I used to constantly mistake Bob Norster for Donal Lenihan, especially during the 89’ Lions when Donal came on for Bob...
This match must have hurt Ireland as they lost everything, Grandslam and Tripple crown, but they won the championship together with France
@2:58 Something that you no longer see in Rugby, a place kick for touch
Its gas , i cant remember what year they allowed penalties to be kicked from hands to touch. I think if a normal kick goes inside the line first, the kicking team should get the lineout too
@@ciaranflynn1397 I think that law came into force not long after the game went professional, i.e when the attacking side regains the throw at the lineout, via a penalty kick to touch, with 'lifting' also legalized. As for a place kick to touch from the ground, this was fairly short-lived and I don't recall ever seeing this strange option deployed, at either club or international level after 1986.
you weren't there
wales wouldnt beat ireland at home again for 22 years
