I am still proud of my country. No matter how flawed this country is. Through good and bad, my country will persevere. Philippines first! Mabuhay Philippines!
Yeah I miss going there at Rizal Theater it's only across Ayala Blvd from our residence at Urdaneta Village behind Gilarmi Apartel and near my Dad's office at Ayala Insular life as an Executive Vice President.
The first time I ever watched a movie was in Rizal Theater. Walt Disney’s Snow White with my mommy & siblings, probably in 1969 or 1970. I was young enough to be frightened by the wicked step mother.
Was looking for the Concorde landing at Manila but only found this. I was there with my family as my father worked with Philippine Airlines for 35 years. There was another family watching. We had a Ford Escort sedan and the other had a Ford Station wagon. Naging mag classmate kami nung college nung na share ko experience namin, andun din daw siya. Hehe gusto ko lang ma share ang story. 😂
Up to late 70's PH was far ahead of its asean neighbors, then the liberals and communists destabilized Marcos government leading to economic crisis in the 80's then Marcos was ousted in cahoots with the US government and the liberal oligarchs prevailed and mismanaged and plundered the country and enriched themselves for 3 decades.
Cute Kitty The Communists were just a sideshow desperate for relevance. They didn't actually help oust Marcos. Fun fact: the peaceful ouster of Marcos helped inspire the peaceful ousters of COMMUNIST regimes of Eastern Europe. If EDSA 1986 never happened, some East European countries would still be communist, or at least communist regimes would last longer or incite civil war. Depends on how old you were then. Sa Air Force, we had F86 Sabres and eventually F-5s. Meron tayo Air Force day every year dati. Last na napuntahan ko andun ang Mig-29. Filipino fighter pilots can match skills with foreign fighter pilots given the right equipment, and we make do with what we have and "push the envelope". Magpunta ka sa Air Force Museum sa VAB for a partial experience. Lets base everything on facts and not on news. Kahit legitimate news channel - useful tool for destruction. And a final word - Kapag makulimlim, solar panels generate lower voltage and will be supplemented by Wind energy. ✌✌✌

Nagulat din po ako nung makita ko Rizal Theater. Jaws, and Superman movies. 😅😅
Philippines 1950-1972 was very beautiful. Runaway commercialization and industrialization reeked havoc on the culture and environment.
1972??????? 😣
Blast from the past
Thanks for Sharing
