It won't kidnap me, it won't rob me of my belongings, it won't come back to my home b/c it knows I left for the airport, it won't give me attitude when traffic is bad, and it is supposed to be cheaper. Even if it is slightly more to ride, I would take it for peace of mind when leaving for vacations.

Nobody thinks about it being hacked by someone either lol. What's sad is this is gonna cost innocent people their lives. And no one will be held accountable.
@@brosephbroman7564bud you've watched too many hacking movies. Who is going to hack the cars? A Vindictive ex, a road rager? A mugger? You think any of them will have the know-how to do that? Computers have gotten increasingly more secure over the years. We don't live in 2005 anymore. Hacking has gotten more difficult as a result. They aren't going to waste their time causing a car crash. They'll go after a corporation and blackmail them instead. Which is exactly the shift we've seen, it's already happened. No one will hack your car just as they won't hack your personal computer. The only issue I can see is someone hacking the company behind the cars, particularly the taxi service ones, and getting access to personal data. But that has nothing to do with the cars and can happen with any other gov agency or corporation.
The Son asks "why do we need this?" Some people can't drive and this tech would help them get around. But Lyft! Uber! Yes, but many people have anxiety and don't want to talk to strangers. This tech is needed!
That is why I can't wait until the cruise comes to Seattle I can actually ride one of those things and actually paid a company and not the company into driver. And besides that one Cruise comes to Seattle? They will have certain areas that will be in the range and some areas are out of range. So you have to make sure to give them the correct address to pick you up. Because if you give them an address that's not in range they cannot pick you up!
"Its cheaper". I doubt it will be that much cheaper. Also there is no accountbility with technology. They really think they are void of accountability because they are "perfect and not human". This is a big problem.
@@kevinc721 You have no facts to support that. They're already causing problems and accidents and there is only a very small amount of them on the road.

Here’s a question. Who the F gave these Autopilot a driver’s license?? It will never happen in our life time. Start with something small like a golf cart.

Someone kidnapped you ? 😮
I love that she brought her son! I also think we should be focusing on taking more cars OFF the roads, we need better public transit.
Like in Europe or Asia.
Then don’t drive, get rid of your car, be the change you want to see in the world ghandi
Agree! We're so car-centric that we got bad urban planning.
I am old enough to still like the horse and buggy. It was Waymo better then.

I agree, the pi$$in and moaning about technology is a buzz kill for sure.
Wait till it drives you off a cliff due to wifi issues. 😂

Imagine this thing driving you in the mountains, with those small thin barriers protecting you from the cliff. That would be scary as hell.
"it's supposed to be super safe" like when it encounters a fire truck at polk and turk
This didn’t end well for GM Cruise. GM should have developed their own system, like Tesla, hiring their own engineers. GM always taking short cuts.

If you have that much anxiety that you can’t ignore your driver without having a panic attack you should stay in your home forever.
& don’t ever vote again
These are the dumbest reason I have ever heard. More reason why to not have robotaxis. Dear God.
You want drivers to lose their jobs because being around strangers makes you anxious? That is incredibly selfish.
@@lc1715 Where did he say he wanted drivers to lose their jobs? Have some compassion. Stop putting words in people's mouths
Robo taxis are just like bud light. Consumers will determine how successful they are.
ironic the google program he talked about was the waymo car she tried and hated because she didnt look at the service area lol!
Some of the best conversations I've had with my daughter have been in the car on the way to school.
The end of the video was quite devastating, I mean they may have needed to walk 200 or 300 metres.
This will make people even lonelier in a lonely society. It will eliminate one more person in the car to talk to.
That’s me!

I think this technology still needs a lot more work, much like your grammar and syntax.
Seems like she’s trying to promote it this way ignoring the problems she had. Talking too much!

We just don’t need them. Period.
Then why worry about it ? If no one needs them, they will run out of business, in a capitalist market . You following?
