For some sor of lag reasons the first time I did the ending it took 10-15m to lift me up into the air and kill me, all the sfx “cutscenes” were like it for me

in the lore, the big star in the sky gets closer over time to the planet you're on and every few thousand years someone with powerful magic needs to sacrifice themselves in the tower to make the star not get too close. the star makes sorcery stronger when it's nearby, but if it gets too close then it causes the end of the world. the sword is also technically not made for combat, it's the activation "lever" for the tower, disguised as a sword and used as bait for sacrifices so that people don't have to find a willing subject.

someone said that if the star gets too close the world ends, but the closer it is the stronger magic is, so in that case if the star just gets sent so far away that magic just disappears? edit: my edit was stupid and thus i removed it
