Idk man I think you’re a little harsh on John Bevere. His book Awe of God is amazing and harps on how important it is that we have the fear of the Lord and the danger of OSAS. Hey Adam! I appreciate this content and warning people about false teachings, but please let me ask you a question, because I am not sure on that. What to you think about rebuking or exposing someone publicly, when is it an appropriate time to do that? Some people think it is not right to do that unless you admonish them in a private conversation first, according to Matthew 18:15-17.
@@arkadiuszdec2493 hi! Great question. This is often abused by so many people. If the Lord wills it I would like to do a video on this. Essentially Matthew 18 isn’t about public false teaching, the context is if somebody sins against YOU. False teachers you can’t usually get ahold of, especially the more popular they are. The Bible says to expose these men, not meet with them privately first. Like Paul rebuke Peter publicly for leading others astray, we do likewise.
@@abideintheWord Yes, it would be great to do a video on this. There is a little problem with Matthew 18, because not every translation put it this way, for example: “Now if your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private...NASB. So, it seems that there are some translations that omit this niuanse. That is true that Paul rebuked Peter publicly, but I think he should have resisted him first face to face, because we read "But when Peter came to Antioch, I resisted him to his face, because he stood condemned." Galatians 2:11. So the question is not if it is appropriate to rebuke someone openly in general, but rather when we can do it.
@@arkadiuszdec2493 brother, I don’t care what some translations translate it as. What’s in the Greek? Eis se - which is - against you. It’s clear as day. We don’t go by what one or two translations say. Especially the newer translations. What is in the Greek? What makes sense in the context? What do we see the apostles and Jesus doing? Did we see Jesus always going to them first? I have to say I’m very perplexed by you right now. I hope you repent and apologize to God for saying this.
@@abideintheWord I am sorry, first, maybe I expressed my thought incorrectly (English is my second language) and you have understood me wrongly. My first thought, reading Gal 2:11, was to think that Paul probably resisted Peter face to face, in person, before he rebuked him openly. I did not mean to say that he did it for sure. And I did not suggest that Paul sinned, by no means, of course not. But now, when I have read this passage again in a wider context, I think he just rebuked Peter openly before others. There is no hint that he did it privately. Because we read in verse 14 " I said to Peter before them all..." I hope it clarifies a bit, and again, sorry for this confusion.

Is that verse in reference to a one-time event of deciding to not be a Christian anymore? And do you think the verse is saying that there is no forgiveness for the denial it speaks of (even if the person were to ask for forgiveness five minutes later)? Thank you.
The denial is the blasphemy against the HOLYSPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST. HE is the only ONE who can induce repentance and transform your heart. When you push HiM out of your life fully knowing what you are doing. HE goes
I think this is similar to Matt. 10:33 “But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:33 NKJV Peter denied Christ, and then was later forgiven because he had a humble and contrite spirit over his sin. He repented. Remember 1Jn 2:1 “IF any man sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” But any sin of course should be the rarity, (if at all) in a christians life
@@Ugohanobleman1176 That's not blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost can't even be committed today. I'm just confused as to why you call him the falsiest false teacher when there are those who reach that it's literally impossible to lose your salvation. You do realize he's on the same team, warning people against sin. There is missing context to his statement that it is very hard to lose your salvation in that he is expressing the idea that you don't lose it when you sin once and then get it back and then lose it and get it back....because we as humans do sin in various ways daily. @@abideintheWord The context is present even in the short you linked. It's specifically tied to the bad doctrine that one would lose salvation and jump back in and lose it and jump back in with every son one commits. One loses salvation like the book of hebrews says, when the harden their heart and enter a place of unbelief. The thing is that you are looking at this one specific part of this teaching as if he is saying it's hard to sin. That's not at all what he's saying. Sin is easy. But a single sin does not take one away from the promise of salvation, living in continued sin over time does because it hardens the heart. Do you disagree with this? Do you truly think that you lose your salvation anytime you sin?? And I agree, counterfiet is more dangerous than monopoly money, but my point here is that bevere is still holding to the doctrine of conditional salvation. His gospel message still stands true....unlike that of most of OSAS who is more closely tied to the counterfiet money because it looks and seems liek gospel but it's in fact a false security not founded on Christ but in the faith that you cannot lose it.

Adam, please pray for my faith and dedication to God
Why? What’s going on?
@@arkadiuszdec2493 whoa, are you saying Paul sinned in rebuking Peter to his face? Please tell me you aren’t saying such a thing.
@@arkadiuszdec2493 brother, I don’t care what some translations translate it as. What’s in the Greek? Eis se - which is - against you. It’s clear as day. Friend, I am quite surprised you would take this stance on the Bible. One thing I hate is people misusing the Bible. I’m quite surprised you would treat the Bible this way.
Do you think you need to confess your sins to those you secretly sin against to be saved?
If it didn’t affect them in any way and won’t help them then I would say no. However if you are able to make restitution like you stole something from them then you need to give it back.
Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. That is the law.

Thank you for the video. I'm wondering about 2 Timothy 2:12 ("If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:").
Is that verse in reference to a one-time event of deciding to not be a Christian anymore? And do you think the verse is saying that there is no forgiveness for the denial it speaks of (even if the person were to ask for forgiveness five minutes later)?
Thank you.
What he would be denying is reigning in the Millennial kingdom; not spiritual salvation.
The denial is the blasphemy against the HOLYSPIRIT OF JESUS CHRIST. HE is the only ONE who can induce repentance and transform your heart. When you push HiM out of your life fully knowing what you are doing. HE goes
I think this is similar to Matt. 10:33
“But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.”
Matthew 10:33 NKJV
Peter denied Christ, and then was later forgiven because he had a humble and contrite spirit over his sin. He repented. Remember 1Jn 2:1 “IF any man sins, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.”
But any sin of course should be the rarity, (if at all) in a christians life
@@Ugohanobleman1176
That's not blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost can't even be committed today. In Mark 3, when Jesus was offering the kingdom to Israel, Pharisees said to his face that he was doing miricles by the power of an unclean spirit instead of the Holy Ghost. Many people have rejected Christ then later on believed. That's not what this is talking about. Verse 30 pretty much spells it out.
"Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit."

Matthew 3:7-8 NKJV
I'm just confused as to why you call him the falsiest false teacher when there are those who reach that it's literally impossible to lose your salvation.
You do realize he's on the same team, warning people against sin. There is missing context to his statement that it is very hard to lose your salvation in that he is expressing the idea that you don't lose it when you sin once and then get it back and then lose it and get it back....because we as humans do sin in various ways daily. This expression and teaching that its hard is to fight against the same OSAS teaching because they like to strawman our view as if it's so easy to lose salvation that if you lie once or say a cuss word, it's gone and then you have to get saved again.
@@beaberean3286 what is more dangerous? A counterfeit $20 bill that looks like Monopoly money someone printed from their home computer? Or a detailed elaborate fake that’s hard to tell? You decide.

@@beaberean3286 it comes down to what does the Bible say? Not what John Bever says or what your opinion is. How many times do you have to deny Jesus to be denied before the Father, according to Scripture - again NOT your own opinion. How many times? 3? 10?
