How nice to see more cruisers .The first modern day narrow boat that we saw in the 1970s was one built at Foxes yard in March called Fox Hunter. Narrow boats must be great to live on but they take up a lot of mooring space compared to cruisers.
Used to be my favourate winter haunt --from the late `80`s through to the early 2000`s--i fished many matches there with much success.--my favorite spot was on the wall below the clock tower.
PS: I won the most money I ever won in a match there, it was the Christmas fare match in December 1989, I was drawn in the allotments area, I weighed 23lb of Roach and took home £450
