Hello everyone!! I’m so sorry if I came off as rude making this video. That was never my intention. I had the idea to make this video and I was simple minded while making it, just thinking this could be a great au, not looking up information and only taking off a frictional character, using wrong terms. I really want to apologize for that, if I do make another video on this au, I will be more open minded and actually read information (like I was planning on doing but I’m so stupid I didn’t) on DID!

i know its probably not supposed to be accurate to DID but switches dont really happen the way they're portrayed in the video, im not a system but you should read up on DID and maybe ask systems for advice about how to portray it when working on it. great AU though! i might take inspo from it in the future if thats okay (i wouldnt copy anything directly, by inspo i mean i may also use "78" as one of the names of his alters, because of the theory about him being called that in the orphanage. or i might use an alter named byakko, but i would portray them completely different, and wouldnt use the eye idea! i would probably only make their pupils slightly different, like some more or less dialated.) and i wouldnt post about it on youtube.

I think people jumble it up due to DID in the past being referred to as Multiple Personality Disorder. Also, Split Personality Disorder was also used alongside DID and MPD in a lot of articles. I actually think people still do this?
OSDD system and atsushi fictive here, as others have mentioned some of the stuff in the video is insensitive or incorrect information, but we always assume benevolent intent so we just assumed you were ill-informed, so a few notes!! wont cover the personality thing bc others already have :P but DID and OSDD are covert disorders, and hard to recognize if not actively monitoring symptoms. i noticed there was a switch where someone else came into front and immediately reintroduced themself... that doesnt happen unfortunately! inner as well as outer communication can be extremely difficult, but the intention of the disorder itself is to hide stuff (trauma) unless around someone who knows about the system, an alter wont often introduce themself as someone else. honestly really like the idea of atsushi having DID/OSDD as a fictive of him as well as just.. a system? its nice to see rep and considering everything he went through as a character, it would make sense. i like the idea of him actually have an alter of the headmaster, many systems will form alters known as persecutors, and many times they are based off or directly introjected from their abuser(s) i do actually like the idea of 78, the actual interpretation of him in the vid is.. iffy but i know quite a few systems who have alters of the body when they were younger, before or during the abuse. all in all, i enjoy the concept, i'd just recommend if you continue to work with it to put in more effort, care, and research. if you can, talk to actual systems abt it too :3 thats my 2 cents

Idk if this has another name or not 😅) splitting is when a new alter is formed due to extreme stress or trauma the person is going through, the alter can take a while to form and may be confused and not know what’s going on Dissociating: DID isnt just the Alters, the dissociation can cause memory loss, getting lost, forgetting days at a time, events, and even the host (the main alter that fronts, in this case atsushi) not remembering the trauma(s) that caused the disorder to form. They may not even be aware of the disorder. Switching: now switching isn’t the exact same for everyone with DID, DID Can be different for everyone (one fact though is that DID is formed by childhood trauma. A person cannot form DID without that even if they claim it, that is misinformation!! they may not remember the trauma but it is there and that’s what causes it) in your video the switching is very quick and sudden, switches can Be like that! But they can also be slow, dissociating for a while and when the alter fronts fully they can be disoriented or overwhelmed. Appearance: alters can look different, be non human, form from media to look like a character (though it’s important to note that the alters are not the characters, and may not even act like the character) and ofc the appearance doesn’t affect the body at all (such as eye color. That would not happen irl but I understand using it to show who’s fronting!!) Roles: now systmes don’t HAVE to have roles, sometimes they do sometiems they prefer not to. Roles such as host (main fronter) trauma holders (alter that holds the traumatic memories) and more! This whole video is actually full of misinformation and I’m convinced the creator is 13 or something. I really can’t stress enough how insensitive this video is. There was obviously no care or thought put into this, at least on the side of researching and portraying DID properly. It feels as if DID is just being used as a fun quirky little prop for a skit. Don’t use peoples disorders as content for your cutesy AU, please. It misinforms and harms the reputation of people who really experience it.
