She was a brave lady who refused to leave her front seat on a Montgomery bus (she was required by law at that time to sit in the back of public commuter buses), and stayed there until police came in the bus, and she was willing to be arrested and sent to jail for violating one of the many Jim Crow decrees in Montgomery for Blacks. This "civil disobedience" arrest led to the famous Montgomery Bus Boycott soon afterward.
Today there was a quiz question on TV about Rosa Parks. Which town was there a boycott after her protest. I didnt know the answer so she told me Montgomery and it was right. If I was on a real quiz show would that be considered as cheating? How do you know if mediums cheat on quiz shows?
Claudette Colvin was the first. Rosa wasn't the one to make civil rights by not giving her seat. It wasn't even like that. She didn't see it was the same bus.
