As the years went by and more and more companies started investing into Blender I was able to see all the changes in the software and community and I love it. There are still things that I was not even aware of and with Blender 2.4 (with archaic YafaRay) then 2.5 and now 2.8 I still got to learn and discover new things (I have mixed feelings about this but well, they had to change the archaic software UI someday)

I stumbled across this software a few months ago trying to make something for my music and have been absolutely wowed at the discovery of what blender is capable of. Not only will I make music now I want to indulge my fullest in audio and visual 🤞
Blender is not just scripting friendly, it is written in Python! That means custom interfaces are just a question of what you want it to look like! Maya and other GUI's for Blender are out there; not every command maps over exactly, but it help Maya folks make the transition.
You can do amazing stuff in Blender, and all for free. However, if you want to organise the object outliner yourself, forget it... Blender is amazing but frustrating at the same time. And the fact you have to use a modifier for everything makes your file quite busy. Reminds me of after effects - just to do a little something involves a lot of work.

Blender can pretty much replace your whole production stack. You can easily produce a game, an animated short, a movie with as much VFX as you want and much more, for free.
I have a question. I have a lot of ideas for really short little videos. Like under 5 mins each.. I would like to animate them. I thought about drawing anime but that seems like that would take longer than animating.. maybe? At least if i went the animated route i could use some of the models/resources more than once.
