I always imagined Tabby as a like punk rock metal head sweetheart. I love your interpretation and reimagined version! I probably would’ve kept the eyes and ears you made around 8:25-they’re especially cute

I love tabby's og design but i never knew her eyes and makeup were asymetrically sized! also I would love to see you make Hippeaux over into a refined gentleman worthy of being a Libra lol.

I like the idea of trying to keep them sort of the same, recognizable but with some features you personally enjoy; it makes it feel more like a "fixed" version than a completely new character, and fixed isn't really the right word..I mean "personalized" ig, a little tweaks here and there to personalize them to your tastes.

Honestly, I like that you didn't make her look like a completely different character. I'm someone to keep characters semi recognisable unless it's really needed, such as problematic designs.
That’s funny, Tabby was also in my town on the GameCube. Before watching this I was like, “Nooo, Tabby’s perfect! Don’t change her!” But honestly, if I were to change anything about her design, I would absolutely give her braces. She looks complete with them, which is ironic with what braces are for. Lol
Would probably change her dark brown sections of fur, too.

Omg Tabby was also in my first ACCF town, and she's still living in that save, she was my bestie growing up 🥹 I love her and I'm kinda sad she gets dogged on so much (despite being fully aware how rough she looks), but I LOVE the redesign you gave her, I like how you leaned into the preteen/bad makeup vibe hehe ❤❤❤

I never noticed tabby’s eyes were asymmetrical but now I can’t stop looking at it, she looks like she got something in her eye and is uncomfortable
i love that you kept the key elements! i was so worried that those teeth were going to disappear. i think those braces could bring her to someone’s dreamie status!
I love this redesign! You still kept her personality and unique aspects, and just made it a bit easier on the eye. I am so excited for the rest of this series ❤
Tabby was my first peppy villager and my first cat on my island. I always thought her big teeth were a little weird at first but then I’ve grown to like her the more I played the game. She definitely gives me vibes of a punk rock girl

I love how positive you are about this makeover, a lot of people who "fix" stuff are really negative so it was really nice. I feel like your version of Tabby is more like a highschool version, better at make up and clothes but still growing.

@@LCero10 changing the pupils is pretty much the same as changing the eye as a whole because of how anatomy works 🤔 Keeping her eye shape the same as before only gives more room for expression because eyelids are a thing. But well, why do we even bother freaking out about a character like this. It’s an artistic thing and I/we don’t have any say in it. So let’s drop that discussion because it doesn’t lead anywhere.

Just because someone has their pupils more dilated doesn't change that their eyes are non symmetrical, you can still see that, she is still keeping that

@@LCero10 yes, you are totally right. The thing that offended me in the first place was her character to be chosen as unsightly in the first place and the need of fixing her to make her more presentable. The way how it is done and what is kept doesn’t matter to me all that much. It’s just a thing that resonates with me because I just can’t “fix” anything about my looks. But other people seem to feel the need to do exactly that with themselves or other things they identify as ugly. And that’s what bothers me. I have to accept the way I am but at the same time others don’t seem to accept the way someone else is and have an easy solution for it.

Genuinely the only bad things are her pupil sizes and, debatably, her asymmetry. I think other than that she’s very cute

A recommendation for you of someone with a similar art style to Moriah Elizabeth, Dollightful! She does doll customs, which you mentioned LPS customs later in the video so you might get some good tips and tricks from her for when you decide to do it! I loved this video and I would love to see your LPS customs if you have the ability to film when you do them!

She definitely looks like a modern pre-teen, which is a different headcannon than what I had!
She was also my first villager in my original animal crossing town, so she is baby to me to. I always thought she was ugly tho . . .
I always thought of her as like a punk or grunge loving kitty, but is the nicest person you ever met. Like, she loves death, but loves giving hugs! I also think she's an autistic queen. She always seemed to say the most WHATEVER WHAT things when I talked to her, but she always kept on smiling, so it was like she was oblivious that she was actually tearing my feelings apart.
I saw your thumbnail, and redesigned her myself before watching your design. Ours are so different! LOL I kept her iconic teeth for like, emotions, but gave her a smile like Katt's for default. Since I still wanted her to have teeth in her default but not like, :[]
So she makes that face a lot when she reacts to things, and is just , oblivious that she makes that face ALL, THE, TIME. Autistic Queen Tabby!!! Like, death and dead things are her obsession.
Also, I've been reading too much in the Animal Crossing Wiki because of this video, and so apparently there's a personality type some villagers have called "Older Sister" (Tabby doesn't have it), and they're like a supportive but blunt big sister type. I think Tabby should be a "Younger Sister", this typing doesn't exist, but I think it should. Like, there should be villagers that act more like a younger sister, need more guidance in choices, and are a bit more innocent.
I also, just started drawing a ship comic for her. In her Wiki page, it says she (used to more anyways) talk all about boys, which I think I remember about her. Typical younger sister amiright? Well, in this ship comic, I'm making her Lesbian. She overcomes her boy obsession, and learns that girls are pretty cool too. 🤫🤭
I would also like to say, I was not thinking about shipping animal crossing characters until yesterday. I'm thinking about shipping so many characters though now. Thank you for giving me something to do, especially with characters that are REALLY EASY to draw!! LOL
Graveyard Loon is a lot like Moriah, but he does a lot more creepy then cutsey but he's got the same vibes
honestly the only fix she needed was bigger pupils imo, the ones you did first were perfect. and even if the "new her" looks super cute, it's not *her*, it could be like her coquette sister or smth

Love it!!! Only thing I’d have done differently is making the colors on the braces alternate between pink and purple. I had braces for four years so I almost never had a solid color unless I had a chain, so that’s probably why it was my first thought lol.

Lavendertowne is a good art youtuber to watch. (Outside of the Hazbin Hotel redesign controversy which I'd just ignore) She generally does offer good helpful art advice, some fun redesign videos, and she is actually the reason why I started taking my art seriously and am now an animation student!

Something about tabby that I never noticed until I saw her in this video: one of her eyes is bigger than the other. Not big enough to make it a proper trait of hers, just big enough that it makes her whole face look wonky. This will bother me forever. Anyway, I love your reimagining! The braces detail in particular is so cute and a great detail to add with her exposed teeth
I recommend looking at graveyard loom, they do the same thing as Moriah except they're "creepy cute"
