Can you "Throw" AIR? Build a Vortex airzooka yourself!

Finally, I get to revisit the Vortex Airzooka! This DIY Air cannon is great for bugging your siblings and parents, and if you have the ability, you can make amazing smoke rings! The Air vortex smoke ring cannon is impressive at a large scale and easy to make using nothing but plastic cups and a balloon!

I have made them with oatmeal containers. Just cut a small hole in the bottom, say 1 inch / 2.5 cm. Leave the regular cover on the container, preferably plastic, although the cardboard ones also work. Then rap the cover with your finger - just like shooting a checker or marble.

There's an old toy called the "Air Blaster" based on this. You can see them in action in the movie "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians."
