Last week, I got an email from a 16 year old financial literacy activist named Ella Gupta. She's a published author and her book is called GEN Z MONEY $ENSE. She's currently interning at Greenlight Financial Technology.
I’m helping her amplify her petition to advocate for guaranteed access to a semester-long personal finance class in all high schools.
For context:
-Only 8 states in the US currently guarantee access to a personal finance class for all students before graduation.
-3 out of 4 teens (74%) don't feel confident or knowledgeable about personal finance and 73% said that they want more personal finance education!
-Less than 10% of low-income student get access to financial literacy education in high school
