One significant aspect of many colleges, particularly Western New Mexico University (WNMU), is dual enrollment. Growing up in Silver City, I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment at WNMU. From my freshman year of high school until my senior year, I attended WNMU. I developed strong relationships with professors, classmates, and peers, gaining valuable knowledge that I applied in high school and later in my career. When I transferred to another university last year to pursue technology, my transfer credits covered half of my degree requirements. Many other students were also able to complete associate degrees while still in high school.
Current botany/philosophy undergrad student here--very nice depiction of the university and area.

Kind of sad that I'm only finishing my degree online and overseas. Happy I found a school that will help me achieve my goals though.
