    I have been using Pycnogenol for more than half a year and I'm very satisfied. It's in my night skincare routine and what works best for me is to use it after Niacinamide + Zinc Serum, which is water-based. It creates great base for Pycnogenol. Thank you for this educative video.

    Great video. I’ve been a fan of pycnogenol for awhile now. Started with the Ordinary’s and enjoyed it, but decided to move on to antioxidant blends including the ingredient. My two favorites are NIOD’ Survival and Mad About Skin’s All Day Protection Antioxidant Cream.

    I picked this up after you did a video on The Ordinary products, I only recently started using it more - and wow, I notice such a more bright healthy glow in my skin when I use it overnight or apply it first thing in the morning , seems to work way better than my vitamin C serum

      I'm tempted to get it and try it out but I've read some questionable things about the brand and the individual who owns it. I'm concerned about the quality of the product and its reputability. Might have to wait a couple of years to see how the company fares longer-term.

    • @morgianasartre6709
      @morgianasartre6709 Рік тому +5

      @@liaaca What questionable things? He has been very open about the whole process of owning a brand and formulating products, pricing and his own life too. He makes great informative videos on youtube, I really like his personality and philosophy, frequently donates to charities and continues to recommend plenty affordable products outside of his own line. Obviously everyone can make their own judgements but if you are just going off of reading some shady reddit forums then that's usually not a reflection of reality.

    I literally love this stuff! It's amazing moisturizing and does help plump up my fine lines and wrinkles a bit. I use it morning and night as I live in NYC, and it's super polluted, especially with those wild fires from Canada. I recommend this to anyone who needs a good, powerful antioxidant and lives in a city. I have oily to combo skin n I just put like 3 drops and then my moisturizer. I broke out briefly the 1st couple of times I used it, but it went away fast. I just think my skin was getting used to a new product as it's happened before. It's nothing crazy to stop use over.

    I love that stuff -- smells so delish when I mix it in with my TONYMOLY
    Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Lotion (which isn't at all watery, just a lovely lightweight moisturizer). It's my favorite way to start my day after I've applied Vitamin C. Sunscreen goes last after everything has set.

    I really like this pycnogenol, but it's definitely too heavy and sticky for me to use it in the daytime. I can still feel sticky for hours after application (and I try and use it quite lightly!) So it's definitely something that I'll keep as part of my nighttime routine. It's the last serum I apply before I put on my moisturiser. I think it's great for giving me a bright healthy glow.

I have the Granactive Retioniod Emulsion 2% (water based) which I want to mix with an antioxidant (retinol + antioxidant = Perfect skin)... and so that's my problem, but after research I see Pycnogenol isn't affected in such way by water, at least what I discover... please correct me if im wrong.

Can you please help me and recommend products that I can use in a daytime and nighttime routine. Hydrate your skin properly, use good anti oxidants, a good sunscreen, try Tretinoin. Use the products all the way down to your chest so that your neck gets all the goodies as well. Take supplements (ceramides, collagen, vitamin A, Omega 3) and lastly there is the option of a surgical facelift or the use of Botox and filler (but that should be used preventatively beforehand and not after to be honest) . Whatever remains you should just accept, aging is part of life. If you do everything I listed you should see good improvements though. But don’t expect any wonders

      My understanding is that Vitamin C is so difficult to layer w other products due to its need to be in a quite acidic formulation (2.5 - 3.5) compared to most other ingredients buutttttt!!! from what i'm reading- bc the pycnogenol is a waterless formula- that makes it essentially pH-less so you should be good! I'd definitely start w the vitamin C first after cleansing and then after that absorbs, apply the pycnogenol

    • @essaly7969
      @essaly7969 Рік тому +6

      Rosacea triggers vary from person to person so nobody can predict how your skin will react, but one of the reasons why vitamin C is irritating is because it typically has to be in low ph solutions. That's not a concern for Pycnogenol.

    • @issingno7814
      @issingno7814 Рік тому +1

      It’s definitely not as irritating as Vitamin c. I think it actually shouldn’t be irritating at all for the majority of people and is probably rosacea safe. But I would reach out to the ordinary and ask them about this specifically.

      @cri0871 Рік тому +1

      Just use an antioxidant in the morning (e.g. pycnogenol, vitamin C, EUK, caffeine serum etc) with moisturiser and SPF (keep in mind that vit C can make acne worse so I would use niacinamid serum instead of vit C) and at night retinol (for its antiaging benefits ) with moisturiser, but if you suffer from acne you can use an acid like salicylic acid, lactic acid or glycolic acid, though keep in mind that retinol also helps with acne so I would use only retinol + moisturiser at night .

    I use it and I love it, but I do NOT love the smell. It smells….. sour. That reminds you of your childhood? Really? 😬
