Let's look at it this way in Equestria they're not humans, they're horses and I've just checked the average lifespan of a horse, it's less than 30 years and a average lifespan for a human is 79 years
If you can't see where I'm going with this: as horses they might seem older while being at the same age as their human versions because humans live twice as much as horses so as horses they would seem older
