How often does someone come to us pleading for help and the MC just goes "nah not interested" until money is offered or they get a crumb of info that gives them a lead in hopes they can reunite with their incestous sibling?
When the trailblazer started talking in HSR 1.6, I prayed that this will be a thing going forward as it really added to the roleplaying experience.

Imagine being Chiori, and HV revealed you during this shitstorm.
The thing is the dev team just drip marketed Chiori and it feels like they are trying to distract the community from the problems, so even CN community is unable to do anything. I hate when genshin gets away with dropping nuclear bombs in the community and act like nothing happen.
I honestly thought Chiori was supposed to be a 4* character because she was so underrepresented. And as I understand the leaks, it should simply be a 5* version of Gorou with the def scaling and the support aspect.

It’s super annoying that the controversy isn’t being addressed but to be fair drip marketing’s always happen at specific times, enough so to the point where future drip marketing’s have already been predicted so chiori’s marketing was expected but it does suck that every time there’s even a slight bit of controversy it kind of festers for a bit then fizzles out then comes back the next year when the rewards stay the same

It feels wrong to not see Mtashed, Volkin or Gacha Smack on the cast but, I enjoyed everyone who came on. Good vibes and some solid banter all around.
Aside from that, I am glad that the regional favoritism subject got brought up. It sucks because there is basically zero way for it to gain traction. Why would those benefitting complain? I just hate that Chinese companies so openly gate content to their region and, business wise, I don't get the value. I understand the in-person events and off-collabs but if things like skins are already in the files at least bring them over to sell to us, no? Your region is already happy (and get their egos filled) since it was, essentially, free. Why not earn a little money letting us pay? Idk if HSR can avoid it but, if not, hopefully Kuro Games at least does. I just hate that Hoyoverse and Tencent even started this precedent on such a large scale.

This is also the reason why their revenue is so low. Mainland to taiwan +- 3 months, taiwan to jp +- 2 months or so, mainland to global 1 year
But the main reason still whale from other servers prefer playing cn server, as for viet community, a lot of whales who always has the new cons 3s+, play on CN server

If Genshin suddenly drops its revenue numbers by a lot, then that will sound an alarm for the company to start changing things because that's how players get to vote. With their wallets. It doesn't matter that Genshin and HSR are under Hoyo. Each game brings its own revenue. If HSR brings 50m per month, but Genshin suddenly drops from 30m to 10, then Genshin's team and devs will know they fucked up and that they need to change things to make people want to spend again more. It's not about boycotting Hoyo. It's about Genshin's team realizing they need to improve their game.

In hi3, while himeko was 'usable' after dying, this waa not in subsequent story quests. They kept it lore accurate going through the story chapters. Being still useable in ex or non-story like abyss and sim battle doesn't count. it's just simulation stuff. The only time after chapter 9 this changed was for a few ofthe stages in chapter 25 where you vould use any owned valkyrie, but that didnt last the whole chapter. 26 and beyond had limits to them and none of them l allowed himeko suits.
FF XIV was completely reworked after release and made it part of the world's lore. Some of the coolest shit I've ever seen.

What I will say for wuthering character designs....Kuro seems to be like Project moon in a sense that they don‘t really want to make their characters into horny bait.
Let‘s say it how it is, lots of characters in Hoyogames are designs to look very attractive in very revealing outfits, very ornate, and if they aren‘t half naked than they are in some skintight full body stockings.
Coming from pgr, you do not see that very often. For summer skins, most are more or less just beach park or summer themed and not outright swimmsuits or something.
Most character designs are taken pretty serious to seem believable for a post apocalyptic setting with some notions of attractiveness.
Sure there are SOME outliers like Ayla or Bianca Abysstigma‘s base design but most look rather basic.
While I like it for immersion‘s sake to a certain degree, I will admit that it just doesn‘t look as visually appealing like hoyo designs.
I hate over sexualized characters and even then I have literally no bad opinion abt Genshin's and hsr's designs. They're literally not revealing.
(Except for Amber's shorts as far as I remember which thank god they fixed)

Well, maybe, some are, some aren‘t. Genshin maybe less than the honkai series(yes including hi3 and ggz).
One however cannot deny that lots of hoyo designs are made with the intent to elicit an emotional response from the player. At that point I guess I have to refrain from my statement a bit that they are revealing.
However looking at character like black swan whose design is a mixture of body stocking, overly high leather boots and lots of belts accentuating EVERY curve on the body possible it is, while not revealing, definitely pretty sexualized.
If that is a bad or good thing that is definitely up to each player, I for one am not complaining to much, bottom line is that it looks pretty good.
My point just is that historicly Kuro, has been rather conservative with such design choices and players that expect their xianyun, Hanya, Nicole, aponia etc will probably not find that many of those kinds of designs in WW.
At least if they are going to keep their current view on character designs.
Again, whether it‘s a good or bad thing is up to each and every player.

Looked up WW after the chatter about it in this and i like that the chars are not overly lewd. I like that the world looks xenoblade-y and thats one of my most favorite franchises. And the character designs look interesting enough. WW is at least brave enough to give us an actual playable character with facial hair right out the gate at minimum.
But whats really gonna hook me is if the story and world building is good.
I myself am very uncomfortable with the sexualization of any character,.male or female. I think it's fine for characters to be attractive and for people to think they are hot, but it makes me uncomfortable.
Like I have shenhe in genshin, and I want to use her to walk around teyvat, but it makes me feel so rude! I don't want to look at a beautiful character like shenhe and feel uncomfortable because the creators dressed her in such revealing clothing.

Imo it's an anime character and it doesn't have feelings and it doesnt make me want to sexualize women because the genshin characters THAT ARENT MINORS OR HAVE A CHILD BODY, are usually meant to be sexualized because they know what they are doing

It would honestly be bad writing if they kill Himeko now, or at least an uphill battle to make it work. She was only briefly involved toward the end of Herta Space Station, launched one laser at the end of Jarilo, and then basically wasn't involved during Luofu. Doing all of a character's development right before killing them is pretty weak writing. Most people would only care if they remember her from HI3. Star Rail only players would be hit or miss at best if they REALLY care about her dying at this point.
One thing about FGO is usually FGO's NA gets QOL quicker than JP does we jokingly call it robbing from the future bc what's gonna happen to that special thing that was scheduled for this date we instead go it earlier lol

There is no "old design"; leakers messed up and put the Wuthering Waves Lion Boy in their Genshin leaks.
About the 4.4 patch; on the official FB page. There were people actually excited because "You can get 98 pulls if you do everything. More if you have a Welkin" and posted a Primo Calculator guide for the patch.

I don't think they'd kill Welt, at least not unless they reintroduce Luocha. Himeko is certainly possible, but my money's on Dan Heng personally, since his past has been revealed and some would argue he's reached the end of his character arc.

I don't see Dan Heng's arc ended now. Need to see more of DanIL in action. Actually using his dragon powers to help (Like how Todoroki using both his powers on his internship. Currently DanIL is Todoroki when 1v1 with Deku.)

In WW they should make domains where if you beat the boss without getting hit a certain amount of times you unlock the ability to auto/skip it, cause that would incentivize players to engage more in the game and also feel rewarded.

I think a big factor in why they treat the CN community better and are more apt to listen to them is the fact that the CCP exists and the CCP very much dislikes anything that's causing any sort of unrest or disorder and I'm sure hoyoverse wants to avoid that gaze.

46:46 just wanted to add onto this specific point: They have recently said that they are trying to bring the KFC collab to global and atp AK JP already got it too (it was announced for both servers on the 4th anni). 2 of the 3 KFC skins were obtainable through physically buying a special menu in KFC so it makes sense that it's not as easy to bring it over to global. instead of making a deal with one partner (KFC CN) you have to make a deal with multiple all over the world which is a LOT of work logistically

42:36 a reason why I think Star Rail gets more pulls from events is because Genshin is an exploration game where there are many sources of primos through the exploration sigil rewards and Star Rail has Simulated universe and puzzles but not as much but that's just what I tjink

You know how egregious that 3 intertwined rewards is? We get more pulls from their occasional maintenance / compensation for a few hours of downtime.
Is it too much to ask for a 5s selector? At this point even if it's a standard banner 5s selector, it will still be better than 3 fucking single pulls.
I find it odd that Gaming’s old art was scrapped for Genshin, but it seems like it was used for Wuthering Waves.
I never thought about it until Brax mentioned it but Welt is MAD plot armor for the team as long as he is there there are VERY little threats.
No joke, i just hopped back on the game after my 1 year break from it. I then Continued with the Surmeru archon quest and when that 1st cutscene played where they were just stand there talking for what felt like an hour, it did not take long for me to pass out from the constant dialogue cuz I got an attention span of a GOLD FISH.
(Like I know the story is good, it's just that it's mad too complex for someone like me to even try and figure out what's going on.)

yes i agree that the newer genshin chars are alot more creative than they were before, navia, cloud retainer and even gaming, furia, lyney, etc. but the thing is that the events are the same old same old mickey mouse boring ass mini games... so that just forms this vicious cycle of "oh that char is cool i wld wanna summon" but then i dont wanna do the events for the primos to summon so i dont get the char....and so i basically just fully quit the game now lmao

Geez, the reasoning to have skip button is dumb. Their reasoning of don't care about story/lore is like LOTR book that you skip everything except battle and fight like Gandalf vs Saruman or Sam vs Shelob.
One thing i am Worried about is this Narrative that Wuthering Waves will be Dark Souls difficult, and that Farming is gonna be tedious because its going to be "hard", i really dont feel like the Game is gonna be Hard when it comes to the Open World Bosses and Exploration, PGR is similar to that where 90% of the Content is not hard, but some Bosses can beat your ass especially when they have you Fight a Boss Solo instead of with a Whole Team (which i find most enjoyable)
