To my knowledge, Pro X wheels is the wheel brand of Lightcarbon (bikes & wheels). And the mother company is Yishun. They are a very advanced OEM manufacturer with engineering labs not only in China, but also in Germany. Develop and produce carbon frames & wheels for different well known premium brands. (Actually I use their wheels & frames too). So from a quality and engineering perspective, they are top notch for a fraction of the price (if branded for white label). Cheers 🙌🏽
Thanks for the video. At the 2021 Shanghai Bicycle Show I was impressed by some Chinese wheels and ended up buying 2 wheelsets. One of these is a 30mm external width 29er wheelset (28H) weighing 1285g, which uses DT Swiss Aerolite Straightpull spokes and is laced to DT Swiss 180 hubs that are copies, unbranded. The wheels are bombproof and now ridden 12000km+ including doing the UK's toughest XC challenge twice. I have only changed the bearings (to NTN) in both wheels and XD freehub, also replaced the freehub ratchets with genuine DT ratchet wheels - other than that I haven't even had to true the wheels once. Amazing quality!
I had a pair of these proXcarbon wheels with carbonspokes for tubular tubular tires until they were stolen from my cellar they were the best wheels I had. I really liked the technology on the hubs so easy to mantel and dismantle. The customer service was very good, shout out to Angie.
I have two Chinese carbon wheels on my Dolan track bike. One of them is a generic unbranded disc wheel and the other is a Fast Forward trispoke knockoff. It's been a year since I put them on my bike and they're as solid as the day I bought them. No complants and a load of money saved, but then again, I don't put down 1,500 watts into my wheels to truly know if they can stand the pressure.
Are those hubs the novatec 411/412? I bought a service wheels from china direct and they used a 'novatec' but I had an axle failure and the pawls in the freehub. Slipped from new. I'm not convinced they are genuine but a cheap copy
They are not Novatec. It is an unbranded hub, but the design and construction are good. I won't be surprised if it comes from the same factory as other good hubs.
It is an unbranded hub that uses DT Swiss Ratchet design and ceramic bearings. I have a set of DT 180 which I think the quality is close (I still notice the differences).
Shimano wheels suck. I bought the Dura-Ace C30 wheelset about 3 years ago and the hub wasn't machined centered and true. I instantly saw that and warrantied that set. The next set the flat bladed spokes kept twisting. I'm talking low miles here to. I sold that set of wheels on ebay. I'll never buy Shimano wheels again. I've had sub $500 aluminum wheels from Campagnolo that were bomb proof and lasted me years. Now I build all my own wheels with a hub brand I like made here in the US. I have built wheels with carbon rims from China and aluminum rims I'm guessing were from China also. I only use Sapin steel spokes. I don't and will never see the need to spend $1000 for a set of wheels. My ego is not that big.

They are good wheels, but in my experience, their customer service has room for improvement. I am glad you have a good experience.
ive never had a problem , i had a clone that's came on a twitter i have i never even had them untrue in 2yrs , but i kept the hubs clean

I assume riding track would have less ware and tear which may just be perfect fit for these Chinese wheels.😉
