- If you are interested in entering the DtC 100th Episode Raffle, please send an email to: wwiidaggers@gmail.com
Use the subject line: WITTMANN RAFFLE
To make things a little easier on Deb (who will most likely have to keep track of everything) emails without the EXACT subject line (WITTMANN RAFFLE) will most likely be ignored for contest purposes. She's already buried in email as it is, and this will make sure she doesn't miss anything.
Be sure to include your name and address so you can be mailed your prize if you are a winner. Your personal information will not be shared with or sold to any entity and will be deleted after the drawing.
Emails sent to any other address, such as directly to Tom or in reply to an Automatic Update, will probably get overlooked and not be counted as entries.
You can also give Tom or Deb a call during normal business hours (10AM to 4PM EST) and enter that way, if you'd rather not email.
I don't have any information on the exact nature of the prizes in front of me, but I'll remind Tom he needs to show you guys what they are before the drawing. He may or may not remember.
BOILERPLA... ER, GENERAL INFO:
Tom, Deb, and Ob would like to thank everyone who have been kind enough to send in gifts. Seriously, you guys are just the best.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes even more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world Tom or Ob would be able to engage with everyone in the comment section, but alas the world is far from perfect. Tom doesn't know how (and refuses to learn) and Ob is something of a Luddite.
FAQ & A:
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever. Seriously, he still calls UA-cam "the U-TOOBZ".
Tom's personal email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have a amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?!
A: See "A" above.
Again, Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

That's a "German WWII EM 34 Range Finder" @ 53:50 This was used to help machine gun crews, mortar teams and specific artillery units during the Second World War. The range finder is fitted on the inside with a series of prisms, beam splitters and mirrors, which divide the viewed image into two halves. When focused into one image, the range finder provides a calculated distance or altitude to the target. Some heavy German machine guns could have an effective range of out to 300 - 400 yards so this would help to put there fire on a specific grid / location. The same with mortar teams. The reason I said "some" artillery units is because most artillery was from the rear and in cover where the ME 34 Range Finder could not be used. But it was used with German PAK 38 as well as the 20mm Flak Cannon that was often used on ground targets such as buildings, military personal, and light armored vehicles. The 20 Flak Cannon had an incredible range of nearly 3 miles or about 15,000 feet if used for air targets. Image a crewed 20mm Flak Cannon team using the EM 34 range finder to lob 20mm cannon shells at your position 1 or 2 or 2.5 miles away from an elevated position, which they often did. Devastating. Also, I think that EM 34 Ranger Finder is missing it's mounted eye cover that would hug the face and provide darkness so the eyes could focus, but I am not 100% sure. There is a newer variant of the EM 34 ( 34 denoting the year ) there is a 37 as well I believe that's been refined.
The optics are surprisingly clear on this thing! I carried out front of Tom’s office and was peering down the road with it.
The giveaway is a perfect idea! Can’t wait!
Ob you are a good man to help your old man and correct him in such a respectful manor, it's every fathers dream to pass his knowledge on to his children and they carry the torch even better than they did! Blessed!!

Ice Cubes- The secret is to fill the trays with warm to hot water. The cubes come out of the trays very easily and uniformaly
The "yugo" bayonet is a m1924 belgium export bayonet made for Serbia. I hope this helps!
Greetings from the Netherlands
Any excuse.....
The colors are amazing when you have that cataract taken care of. Good luck.
Good luck with your surgery! 👍
That miss aligned piping on that SS cap is a big concern when it comes to authenticity
Another fun video. Once a week is not enough!!
Goering knife is definitely a butter knife. You cut a pat of butter and turn knife over to pick up pat with the point on top.
Crimea campaign medals , they have a decent value , some are exceptionally valuable, the recipients Regimental details etc etc will be engraved on the rim , a unique or very rare award can go for many thousands of pounds ,,
Love the show guys. And that's some drink your pouring, looks like whiskey with a bit of soda. Would love to be there
Best wishes Tom your sail through it mate ❤ from London
as always , i had a good time watching the unboxing !
Great as always
Wow what a giveaway! Thank you for considering it! Always love these videos! Would love to win to add to our Museum displays!
Could you do a follow up with us on the SS cap?
Many are chiming in that it is not authentic. Still looks cool, though.
Looks to be a Polish reproduction.
This cap looks just like one I saw in an antique store in Fort Wayne Indiana there were other reproductions in there as well the lady that worked there told me that a lot of the stuff was used as movie props the store has since closed
I think the A-SS officers visor is an early reproduction.
There's no specific time to have a booze up for you or Arb. You do whatever tickles your fancy 😜. Good luck with the heart specialist. But for me, you've still got plenty of more shows to be starred and presented in. Really looking forward to the 100th edition. Like I do with all your shows. All the best from Phillip Colley in the UK. 🔥🔥🔥
another nice video Mr.Wittmann cheers
I want to Tell , that in 1970s this HJ knifes still had been Sold as , Fahrtenmesser ' or , Pfadfinder ( Boy Scouts ) knifes. In some remaining knifeshops, you may find them as ,, Ladenhüter '.

Navel dagggers are the best designs by far of the daggers. Then the SS/SA. I had one my father gave me, but like an idiot I sold it in college.
Ob or Tom, I own an appliance repair business here in Florida. If it's a Samsung that you have and it's the ice maker up in the top left corner of the fridge, I can tell you how to have that completely replaced by Samsung, about $1200 worth of work, for free and rather quickly. It's a factory defect they're well aware of. If that's not it, I can tell you there are very few ice makers that can't be figured out for a heck of a lot less than what you're being told. In Florida, we HAVE to have our ice and I have 25 ice makers in my garage inventory as I repair them all the time. Anyway, let me know if you would like me to call you and see if I can help you out. Collector to collector, it'd be my pleasure.
Best of luck in your surgery.Don’t get freaked , they really know what there doing nowadays.

Nice cap just missing the cellophane diamond other then that looks mint
I’m onboard with the giveaway, tell me where to send my info!!! I’m particularly interested in the Hitler Youth Knife giveaway. My grandpa had brought home a Hitler Youth Knife with a motto on the blade and it was stolen and pawned or sold at a flea market possibly by a drug addicted neighbor who broke into our house. We got most of the stuff back but unfortunately that knife wasn’t one.
Details are in the video description.
Unfortunately the visor cap is fake and the insignia is fake as well
By putting a huge amount of insurance on it I think the sender was hoping it would be stolen. But, naturally, it came through unscathed.
I cringe when I see insignia anymore. It’s typically bags and bags of junk.
You need a big lite magnifying glass 🔍
That SS cap copy sure
It’s after noon somewhere in the world 😉
First! Great video Thomas and ob!
SS cap is not looking good, markings on the inside are very strange, normaly they have a tag on the inside of the leather sweatband....I would let an expert check on it!!!!!
The yellow trim around the edge did not line up either; it would never be allowed to be sold like that. But, perhaps it came loose and was reattached by an amateur?
❤
That SS Visor ,WOW!😍 thanx for another great video, and Good Tom Luck with your surgery! looking forward to the 100 episode!, BTW any time is a good time for a Cocktail, Cheers from Toronto Canada.
Mr whittman do a giveaway on the 100 th episode! For the viewers!
