It’s just so random and seems like something a kid would do when naming characters. Like he was writing this in the kitchen when he first started and just named what he saw 😂
The characters are named things like Garlic and Ginger because that's a common naming convention used by Japanese writers. Using inanimate objects to name characters in order to indicate how they're connected, and it's something Akira Toriyama did particularly often. For instance, Piccolo gets his name from an instrument, and his father (with the same name) had henchmen named things like Drum and Tabourine. We even see it with the Saiyans, all named for vegetables. First we have Raditz for Radish, Kakarot (Goku's birth name) for carrot, Nappa is basically greens such as cabbage in Japanese, for and Vegeta for vegetable. Vegeta even has a brother that we never seen in Dragon Ball Z Abridged named "Tarble".
Yamcha instead comes from the Cantonese "yum-cha", "drinking tea", and really funny fact, in my native language Italian, the translators of the show for our channel Mediaset turned "Yamcha" into "Iamko", which, coincidentally or not, seems a play on the phrase "I am KO" 😂😂😂
Ok, so, I want to really emphasize that the movies and specials are best enjoyed in the order that TFS released them in. That said, this and the second movie, "The World's Strongest" are both best enjoyed between Seasons 2 and 3. Yes, I know that the plots of them put them about mid-season 1-ish, but, much like the ending of this one, they are written to be, overall, viewed during the point at which they're released. Between Seasons 1 and 2, the only off-shoot there would be would be Bardock: Father of Goku Abridged. THAT SAID, please do not watch "Episode of Bardock Abridged" until after season 2, as it has small season 2 spoilers and an ending that cements in between 2 and 3. Once you've started season 2, the next movie that would fit chronologically would be between episodes 19 and 20, "Christmas Tree of Might." With all of that out of the way, thoroughly enjoyed this reaction, glad you enjoyed the movie, and I look forward to the next one.
I literally just found out you guys were reacting to this series and I'm so so so so excited for this! Watching this series along with people always reminds me of when I was a kid and made my dad watch the original Dragonball Z with me
As other comments have mentioned, yeah this is one of those movies that can't really fall anywhere in established canon and it make sense. This will be a recurring thing, but at least the Abridged versions make an effort to have them work. Had fun watching your reaction, glad to see you're enjoying the content! Hopefully more fun times are coming next week~
I gave them a watchlist and they have just broken it for absolutely no reason. Here's the watchlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLE_qAP_Xi_sMOsAlJZzS-gMKl7qPaVpYs.html
Son Omni ...But they already had my watchlist. In fact I put this movie at the end of season two, because technically it comes after season two because it really is Krillin telling the story to Nappa.
I thought that there was a post credit scene where Garlic Jr. and his cronies go to see Popo on the lookout. That scene is beyond awesome considering how short it is.
The reason why this Movie has a Higher quality than the episodes you have seen so far is that they released it after finishing season 2. That will also explain nappas role in the movie buiseness. Can't wait till next week I love these videos^^
"Make me immortal!" as a wish.. imagine.. a immortal body and his powerlevel here, in his Hulk-Garlic form was actually just 1.000. So he was actually weaker than Raditz.. 😅 Great move Garlic. Great move.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 The sad truth is all those jokes they make about how weak Raditz is? That is more screen time than Raditz ever got in the actual series. Despite being Goku's biological older brother, he was a literal one-and-done bad guy that is never mentioned again after he gets axed.
So the movie took place before the show's start, but in abridged canon it takes place later on in the show (since nappa is back) and you can tell as the writing is much better and it references things in the abridged series that are long running jokes (ex. nappa, piccolo stealing gohan, krillan being broke, etc.) so it really wasn't made until after the next saga.
The writer, Toriyama, likes to name groups of things after other groups of things (typically food); Garlic Jr's crew were named after spices, Saiyans are named after types of vegetables, Frieza's crew are named after fruits, certain gods are named after boozes, etc Also, the movies aren't considered canon, so their placement in the timeline is "not". But you can kinda slap them in wherever.
A little background on the DBZ movies (the real ones): In Japan, Animation studios did those "Original Anime Videos" to show how incredible their shows and/or animating team are. So, That's what this movie and several others are. Demo reel, if you will. And so, the plot and villain are outside the canon timeline. For example, in this movie, Krilin meet Gohan... But he never met him before Radditz (the brother of Goku) shows up, and this arc finished with Goku'death and Piccolo taking Gohan. It's a plot you can locate in the canon but can't put it exactly when. Same for most of them. Exeptions are the two TV specials who were supposed to be canon ("Bardock, father of Goku" and "History of Trunks") and the three recent movie from the creator himself who definitly are canon. Fun fact about those three movies: Akira Toriyama, the creator was so pissed off at the american movie "Dragon Ball Evolution" he choose to return to a franchise he was sick of. That's how bad it was ^^. Sooooooooo thanks America? I guess? ^^
There are a couple of the original 13 movies that *can* work in canon. Movie 9, for example. Nothing about it makes it impossible in canon. And movie 13 as well.
Glad you found a playlist since it'll help with some of the takes/jokes. This movie is also the only one that can be remotely considered anime canon for reasons you'll learn later on. The other movies are entirely non-canon and have no bearing on the mainshow. TFS does have the movies form their own continuity since they reference older movies as the series progressed.
Well, Deadzone can't happen since: Either Goku is dead, or it contradicts statements about how long it was since the characters saw eachother, despite looking the exact same as at the start of Z, which is especially weird, because of Bulma. If the movie is placed before the start of Z i also creates a plothole about Gohan, since no one knew Goku had a son, but he meets some characters in the movie, like Krillin. So no.
This is honestly a banger. And you guys did pick the right time to watch it. You get the in jokes. And it's a higher quality you'll see in mid to later season 2. What we drinking? I got Voodoo Ranger IPAs going!
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 For a beer, sure! A dark Stout called Dragons Milk is also a big recommendation, too. Otherwise we a Tequila, and a Whiskey/Scotch house, just the way Jesus intended. (Michigan is also a rec marijuana state. So Sunday Funday is the best DBZA Day)
So, something about the DBZ Names, all of the characters are named after something, usually food and drinks. Garlic Junior and the Spice Boys are named after, well, spices. The Saiyans are named after Vegetables, and Bulma's Family are named after Underwear. I'll mention more as they come up at some point.
Fun fact saijan names are Japanese for vegetables too. Such as Vegeta and his brother tarble being the first and last half of vegetable, napa is well, napa cabbage, kakarot(goku) is carrot, and raditz is radish. There is a lot of things like that in dragonball...
The production value of this series eventually becomes phenomenal (for a parody, at least). The voice actor for Nappa even got work doing one of the voices in the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse lol
Ran out of plums to eat with this. *cries* One thing of note here: Not sure how well versed you are with the "Journey to the West" book, but Goku is practically the Monkey King from that story. Son Goku (Goku's full name) is literally a Japanese translation to Sun Wukong, the Monkey King of Journey to the West. In that book Sun Wukong possessed multiple abilities and items, one of which being a staff that could alter its length indefinitiviely. Second powerful item Goku possesses is the Flying Nimbus cloud. A small fragment of a huge Flying Nimbus cloud that can be used to fly. Goku got this cloud in the original Dragon Ball series, before the Z story arc to allow him to fly before he learned to fly himself and it has a will of its own, much like Dr. Strange's cape. Goku: "Let's Go-Han, Go-Home."
We aren’t super familiar with Sun Wukong but have been learning more about him from watching other stuff that has Wukong in it. Thanks for giving us some info on the book 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 if you are interested in learning more, Overly Sarcastic Productions has an ongoing series summarizing Journey to the West that is hilarious. I've seen some other channels react to their content, but I'd also recommend it for personal entertainment
Here we have a couple in love reacting to a favorite anime franchise of mine well done and love it LOL🤣🤣🤣 no seriously i mean it. Team Four Star did an amazing job with this parody/movie that's for sure. Other than that a great reaction/video keep up the great work👍 And greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱
6:45 Yep. This is happening. A four-year-old Gohan is tripping on an LSD Apple. In the original, it was a Beer Apple, so he got drunk instead. 7:58 My favorite line in the movie, and easily in my top ten for the whole series.
Most of the characters are what the Creator (Akira Toriyama) pretty much looked around his house and picked a name for it lol. he even said so himself. These movies aren't really canon to the series but TFS versions of the movies are canon to their story.
Ok so the ending will make more sense when you see the finally to season 2 but fortunately you did seem to catch who that was Krillin was talking to on the phone, going forward the movies and specials that should be safe from spoilers should be Movie 2 "world's strongest" the Dragon Ball Z Kai Abridged "episode 1" special, and "Bardock Father of Goku" Special. But I'm glad you guys are checking these out I just don't want you to spoil yourselves on certain details
We didn’t even realize the ending tied into the series. Just thought it was a silly joke that Krillin had himself getting peed on and he was talking to some studio executive 😂🤗
Yeah, there is nowhere that this could fit in the actual series, as is the case with many of the films, usually due to characters being dead at inconvenient times. lol Here Kuririn/Krillen already knows of Gohan... but Goku is alive. And Gohan isn't being held by Raditz. So it would have to take place during the first episode, between Goku arriving at Kame House and before Raditz does? lol Also regarding the names, Toriyama uses puns for like most of the characters' names. Goku and his kind are Saiyajin, aka vegetable-people, his brother is basically Raddish, ruled by Prince Vegeta(ble), his enforcer Nappa (a type of Chinese cabbage) and so on. Piccolo is obviously named after the instrument and his father, the Demon King Piccolo, created henchmen Drumb, Cymbal, Tambourine and Piano.
When it comes to dragon Ball, I've seen almost every single movie that's the dragon Ball franchise has to offer and I've seen some of the dragon Ball z abridged movies as well, there always awesome.
Hey guys. Glad you like this one. I know it probably gets a little overwhelming with lots of people telling you what to watch or when but just enjoy it at your own pace and make sure you’re still having fun with it. :)
Thanks! We always want to try and get best possible experience and take feedback but at same time, you are right that jus enjoying the ride is the best part 🤗
I don't know if anyone's explained this so: "HFIL" stands for "Home For Infinite Losers," H.F.I.L. the 90s US/English Translation for DBZ wasn't allowed to say or show the word, "Hell" so all they did was erase/smudge out the bottom line of the letter "E" to turn it into the letter "F" Most of the Characters are named after food: Goku's real name is "Kakarot" which is just someone stuttering the word "Carrot." Vegeta's name is "Vegetable" with the last three letters removed Piccolo is named after the musical instrument, though I have heard people say it also comes from the word "Pickle" with the letter "O" at the end of it. Piccolo and Kami are two halves of one person. If something where too happen to one of them, it'll also happen to the other, so If Piccolo where to die, Kami would also die and vice-versa. Kami's also the one who created the Dragon Balls so once he's gone, the balls vanish as well.
to answer your question the writer of dragon ball and dragon ball z loved name puns so many of the characters are puns in japanese, they mostly make sense in english but there are ones that don't make sense because they're based of japanese kanji, for instance the saiyans are all vegtable based names/puns kakkarot (carrot), nappa (nappa lettuce/cabbage), raditz (radish), vegeta (vegetable), bulma's family is all names for underwear, Dr. briefs and a few others you'll meet too
Despite this movie chronologically occurring before the beginning of the Z series in the actual series (which is probably why it was at the beginning of the playlist you found), TeamFourStar didn't actually release the abridged version of it until after they had finished with season 2, hence why the ending might have been a little weird. While this does give a peek at the quality to expect from later DBZ Abridged, with the movies and specials I definitely recommend trying to follow the release order as opposed to the actual chronological order as there can be some meta-level humor that would get missed otherwise. Personally I used Blindwave's reaction order as a pretty good indicator of where to watch things, though I don't know if someone has curated an overall more accurate playlist
Breakfast, brunch, lunch , linner, dinner and dikfast... same energy as breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea , dinner and supper...
Krillin is in it for five seconds and he’s already getting pissed on. That’s Krillin. and he’s still better than Yamcha,. Poor Yamcha he gets no respect. Oh yeah and Raditz.
@Zirath Ashe didn't mean anything negative towards tfs. They did a great job on this. I'm talking about even in the originally licensed show, the Garlic Jr fight and the Raditz fight are carbon copies of each other.
yeah I realized halfway through you guys reacting that this should have been watched after season 2 regardless of where the movie tries to fit into continuity, there is a reference that only makes sense after season 2 of Abridged. yeah the order Teamfourstar makes them is the best order to watch them in.
You have choosen..wisley See this after season 1. It was fun to see you guys having more and more fun with these characters, i grow up with. Yep even when i was 16, i was still growing ^^
Mainly we want to get some laughs as we learn about characters (just names and who is who is and how they are related) And then get some story beats along the way. 🙂🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Yeah I know. Definitely, watch it, just note that this is quite unimportant for that goal, so you don't get potentially confused later.
Great reaction but I reccommend following the playlist. Even though this movie happened early in the original series in the DBZA universe its actually set after Frieza hence the ending
All of the movies are essentially non-canon and although they can kiiinda be fit into the timeline somewhere, they've all got major continuity flaws with the series and are best considered their own thing. Although, this one isn't actually so out of step with the series. It's the only one that actually fits into the DBZ canon relatively well (serving as a stop-gap between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z). The only continuity issue is that Gohan met Krillin for the first time at Kame house in the show whereas here Krillin obviously saw him at the castle. So when he met Gohan in episode one of DBZ, he should have known exactly who Gohan was. But aside from that, this one fits into the timeline reasonable well. Glad to see you guys reacting the movies.
“You moron’s stole Goku’s kid?! How?! How did you steal Goku’s kid?!” “Well first we beat up his wife…” “Oh my shit…” Gotta love when a villain knows they screwed up 😂
Yeah this one was made a lot later and should have been watched later, hence the jump in quality. DBZA really should be watched in order of release because they're constantly making references and ongoing jokes from earlier works. Unfortunately because of the way they have stuff listed on their channel and constant take down and reuploads it's hard to tell what goes when going by the dates. So here's a list want to watch when based on more or less what I remember(everyone else please correct me or add on if I missed something). Season 1 (1 to 10), (done) Kai Abridged 1, Christmas Tree of Might, Bardock: Father Of Goku, Season 2 (11 to 25), Lord Slug, Season 2 (26 to 30), Kai Abridged 2, Revenge of Cooler, Episode of Bardock, Season 3 (31 to 37), Dead Zone, (would have been here) Season 3 (38 to 46), History of Trunks Special, Cooler 2 The Return of Cooler's Revenge, Season 3 (47 to 50), Super Android 13, Season 3 (51 and 52), Worlds Strongest, Season 3 (53 to 56), Cell VS fights, Broly The Legendary Super Saiyan, Season 3 (57 to 59), Plan to Eradicate Christmas, Season 3 Episode 60, Kai Abridged 2.9, Kai Abridged 3, Kai Abridged 3.5, Dragon ShortZ.
The Dragon Ball Z movies don't fit into the canon timeline of the TV show, which is why they said that you can watch it before or after the season. For example, the first episode is the first time that Krillin sees Gohan, yet Krillin interacts with Gohan in this movie. Pretty much every movie has something in it that doesn't work with what is going on in the show.
The running joke with the made-up words was that in addition to brunch (breakfast-lunch) Goku also eats linner (lunch-dinner) and then at the end Goku siad time to go home Gohan, it's almost time for "dickfast" (Dinner-Breakfast plus a pun on Piccolo having no penis) Man eats six meals a day what a legend
The whole thing with Nappa at the end isn't a continuity error about being a producer or anything, in Team Four Star universe, this movie was a script written by Krillin to pitch to a producer...that happened to be Nappa. It's a thing that Nappa ends up doing when he, along with all of the people killed by Freeza and his men are wished back by the Namekian dragon Porunga. You know, because Vegeta worked for Freeza when he killed Nappa, so that's a thing. And he's a producer in Hollywood now. Why Krillin's talking to him after getting his butt handed to him by Nappa back then, is another mystery I'll never solve.
to be fair, Goku is nowhere NEAR as powerful as he eventually gets at this point. The characters in Dragon Ball basically grow exponentially stronger over time, especially the Saiyans and Piccolo. Although they are strong enough to blow up the earth in one beam attack already, that's pretty badass, but obviously not comparable to Superman yet.
The movies aren't canon and don't really fit into the timeline of the series. So many of the questions you guys were asking were the same ones I had when I was watching the original movie back in the 90's. There was no mention of Garlic Jr or his father before this. If I remember correctly, Nappa doesn't get wished back to life until the end of the Freeza arc (in the abridged series only), so it's not surprising you didn't recognize him right away as the movie executive here.
I doubt y'all could react to them. But y'all should definitely watch all the dragon Ball Z movies they're all fairly decent. And if you get the dubs from the '90s and stuff, they change out the anime music for music from like Disturbed and all these other bands are big in the late 90s early 2000s, which doesn't really fit but sounds good at the same time. 😂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 , it doesn't have to be on UA-cam, I'm just saying, off camera on your own terms, watch one of the dragon ball movies, on camera, it might get you in trouble, due to copyright crap, crap that you don't need nor want.
Not the ending I expected. Honesty I expected a full Goku beatdown on the little brat, who, bones broken and organs pummeled, learns immortality does not equal invulnerability.

"the hifl you talkin' about" is a dub in-joke. Since many places in america during the OG dub of DBZ weren't allowed to say hell they rewrote it to be hifl (home for infinite losers) in the dub.
They actually went back and did this one relatively late, so it's at the quality level that you see later in the series. The next season and movies still take a little time to get all the way up to this level of quality, but they are a lot better than the first season.

Once you've started season 2, the next movie that would fit chronologically would be between episodes 19 and 20, "Christmas Tree of Might."
With all of that out of the way, thoroughly enjoyed this reaction, glad you enjoyed the movie, and I look forward to the next one.
Yeah, I 100% agree with this.
We already checked out Worlds Strongest next. Then Bardock Father of Goku is after Kai, 11 and 12. 🤗
I literally just found out you guys were reacting to this series and I'm so so so so excited for this! Watching this series along with people always reminds me of when I was a kid and made my dad watch the original Dragonball Z with me
Glad you found out we were watching this! We’ve been enjoying it so far 😀
Here's the watchlist:
ua-cam.com/play/PLE_qAP_Xi_sMOsAlJZzS-gMKl7qPaVpYs.html
@@BigGator5 Dude literally no one cares.
Son Omni ...But they already had my watchlist. In fact I put this movie at the end of season two, because technically it comes after season two because it really is Krillin telling the story to Nappa.
@@BigGator5 Again, you’re like the only one who cares about it.
Son Omni ...Then why do YOU care? 😠
Great move.
No one is weaker than Raditz 😆 love how they make fun of Raditz constantly even though he was only briefly in this series
19:10 so you have brunch, linner and dikfast
Kakarot is carrot, Napa is cabbage, Vegeta is vegetable, Gohan is rice...
😎👍🙂
So the movie took place before the show's start, but in abridged canon it takes place later on in the show (since nappa is back) and you can tell as the writing is much better and it references things in the abridged series that are long running jokes (ex. nappa, piccolo stealing gohan, krillan being broke, etc.) so it really wasn't made until after the next saga.
😎👍🙂
The episodes and movies do reference each other on occasion so you’ll get the most out of them if you watch them in release order.
Thanks for the tip 🙂
The writer, Toriyama, likes to name groups of things after other groups of things (typically food); Garlic Jr's crew were named after spices, Saiyans are named after types of vegetables, Frieza's crew are named after fruits, certain gods are named after boozes, etc
Also, the movies aren't considered canon, so their placement in the timeline is "not". But you can kinda slap them in wherever.
A little background on the DBZ movies (the real ones):
In Japan, Animation studios did those "Original Anime Videos" to show how incredible their shows and/or animating team are.
Thanks for the background info on the original movies and their intended purpose 🙂
Dickfast for Goku it's a meal between Dinner and Breakfast lol
Glad you found a playlist since it'll help with some of the takes/jokes. This movie is also the only one that can be remotely considered anime canon for reasons you'll learn later on. The other movies are entirely non-canon and have no bearing on the mainshow. TFS does have the movies form their own continuity since they reference older movies as the series progressed.
I gave them MY watchlist and watching it now breaks my suggested order:
ua-cam.com/play/PLE_qAP_Xi_sMOsAlJZzS-gMKl7qPaVpYs.html
Well, Deadzone can't happen since:
Either Goku is dead, or it contradicts statements about how long it was since the characters saw eachother, despite looking the exact same as at the start of Z, which is especially weird, because of Bulma.
If the movie is placed before the start of Z i also creates a plothole about Gohan, since no one knew Goku had a son, but he meets some characters in the movie, like Krillin.
So no.
@@BluePhoenix_ "remotely considered canon" I'm acknowdging what you just said.
Immortal doesn't mean indestructible, so cutting his head off doesn't seem too bad of an idea... unless he can regenerate.
In this series he could probably get a robot body or something
In the Garlic Jr filler arc, immortality is shown to come with rapid regeneration. He gets a hole blown through his torso and is fine within moments.
True. It’s all about the regeneration factor. Which is something we assume when someone is immortal but is not necessarily the case 🤗
This is honestly a banger. And you guys did pick the right time to watch it. You get the in jokes. And it's a higher quality you'll see in mid to later season 2. What we drinking? I got Voodoo Ranger IPAs going!
Oh nice! Is IPA your beee of choice 😋🍻
😎👍🤗
_"sunnuva b*tch just ate my pears"_ -ChiChi
Fun fact saijan names are Japanese for vegetables too.
Such as Vegeta and his brother tarble being the first and last half of vegetable, napa is well, napa cabbage, kakarot(goku) is carrot, and raditz is radish.
There is a lot of things like that in dragonball...
The production value of this series eventually becomes phenomenal (for a parody, at least). The voice actor for Nappa even got work doing one of the voices in the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse lol
and then in the second Game, Lanipator and KaiserNeko joined him :)
Nice. Good for that actor 😀
Ran out of plums to eat with this. *cries*
One thing of note here:
Not sure how well versed you are with the "Journey to the West" book, but Goku is practically the Monkey King from that story.

6:45 Yep. This is happening. A four-year-old Gohan is tripping on an LSD Apple. In the original, it was a Beer Apple, so he got drunk instead.
7:58 My favorite line in the movie, and easily in my top ten for the whole series.
Ooo I've been looking forward to dbz abridged reactions every time.
😎🤟🥳
Most of the characters are what the Creator (Akira Toriyama) pretty much looked around his house and picked a name for it lol. he even said so himself.
These movies aren't really canon to the series but TFS versions of the movies are canon to their story.
Lmfao we just said that’s what the naming felt like in another comment 🤣😂 glad it got confirmed
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 I figured it was obvious when one of the main characters ends up being named after "Vegetable".
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 and that's all you need to know ... for now
Dragon Ball Z: Lord Slug and Dragon Ball Z: Broly abridged were by far my favorites that Team Four Star have done.
Have heard the Broly one is great 😀
Yeah, there is nowhere that this could fit in the actual series, as is the case with many of the films, usually due to characters being dead at inconvenient times. lol Here Kuririn/Krillen already knows of Gohan... but Goku is alive. And Gohan isn't being held by Raditz. So it would have to take place during the first episode, between Goku arriving at Kame House and before Raditz does? lol
Also regarding the names, Toriyama uses puns for like most of the characters' names.
@@M7S4I5L8V2A There's a real world product called Vegeta. It's a cooking powder mix.
I guess that makes naming characters a lot easier when you just pick real world items 🤗
When it comes to dragon Ball, I've seen almost every single movie that's the dragon Ball franchise has to offer and I've seen some of the dragon Ball z abridged movies as well, there always awesome.
Can always rely on both of you to save my Sunday evenings🙌

He said Dikfast. Ya know, the period of time between Dinner and Breakfast. lmao
That one went over our head and little ashamed about it 😂

Dickfast is the first or last most important meal of the day, after dinner, before breakfast
😂
I don't know if anyone's explained this so:
"HFIL" stands for "Home For Infinite Losers," H.F.I.L. the 90s US/English Translation for DBZ wasn't allowed to say or show the word, "Hell" so all they did was erase/smudge out the bottom line of the letter "E" to turn it into the letter "F"
Most of the Characters are named after food: Goku's real name is "Kakarot" which is just someone stuttering the word "Carrot."
Vegeta's name is "Vegetable" with the last three letters removed
Piccolo is named after the musical instrument, though I have heard people say it also comes from the word "Pickle" with the letter "O" at the end of it.
Piccolo and Kami are two halves of one person. If something where too happen to one of them, it'll also happen to the other, so If Piccolo where to die, Kami would also die and vice-versa. Kami's also the one who created the Dragon Balls so once he's gone, the balls vanish as well.
“Let’s go Han Gohome” ☠️☠️☠️😭
to answer your question the writer of dragon ball and dragon ball z loved name puns so many of the characters are puns in japanese, they mostly make sense in english but there are ones that don't make sense because they're based of japanese kanji, for instance the saiyans are all vegtable based names/puns kakkarot (carrot), nappa (nappa lettuce/cabbage), raditz (radish), vegeta (vegetable), bulma's family is all names for underwear, Dr. briefs and a few others you'll meet too
Poor Bulma and her family. Getting the underwear 😂
Some people forgot to mention none of the older movies are actual cannon to series.
😎👍🙂
Breakfast, brunch, lunch , linner, dinner and dikfast... same energy as breakfast, second breakfast, elevenses, luncheon, afternoon tea , dinner and supper...
Krillin is in it for five seconds and he’s already getting pissed on. That’s Krillin. and he’s still better than Yamcha,. Poor Yamcha he gets no respect. Oh yeah and Raditz.
Krillin and Yamcha are some of the most powerful humans in the world too. They're just THAT outclassed by their alien friends.

I cant wait for you guys to react to DBZA episode 60! And I love both of your reactions to this series. 👍🏽😂
Anyone notice the fight choreography with Garlic Jr was cut, copy, paste from Goku and Piccolo's fight with Raditz
@Zirath Ashe didn't mean anything negative towards tfs. They did a great job on this. I'm talking about even in the originally licensed show, the Garlic Jr fight and the Raditz fight are carbon copies of each other.
Most characters are named after vegetables lol and the gods of destructions of different universes are named after alcohols 😂
Haha that fits 😝
It's not until battle of gods that the db movies start to become canon. The movies before conflict with the db timeline, especially the later movies.
😎👍🙂
yeah I realized halfway through you guys reacting that this should have been watched after season 2 regardless of where the movie tries to fit into continuity, there is a reference that only makes sense after season 2 of Abridged. yeah the order Teamfourstar makes them is the best order to watch them in.

As some have mentioned, this is not part of the cannon series, so don't have it too much into account for expanding your knowledge about the lore.
20:40 Well at this point, Goku is not Superman level of strong. He has much training and sagas before him until that point.
😎👍🙂
Nappas appearance here is technically a spoiler for later, but its okay
Lets gohan gohome 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Goku is just urghhh 😮💨😫🤣🤣

Dikfast right at the end would be dinner+breakfast
The Dragon Ball Z movies don't fit into the canon timeline of the TV show, which is why they said that you can watch it before or after the season. For example, the first episode is the first time that Krillin sees Gohan, yet Krillin interacts with Gohan in this movie. Pretty much every movie has something in it that doesn't work with what is going on in the show.
😎👍🙂
The running joke with the made-up words was that in addition to brunch (breakfast-lunch) Goku also eats linner (lunch-dinner) and then at the end Goku siad time to go home Gohan, it's almost time for "dickfast" (Dinner-Breakfast plus a pun on Piccolo having no penis) Man eats six meals a day what a legend
Goku never found that Meatery to this day.
😭
He’s talking to a producer. Something as petty as a fight shouldn’t get in the way of making that money
Should watch the first DBZ Kai Abridged before season 2...
YES, I 100% support this.
We plan to 😇
to be fair, Goku is nowhere NEAR as powerful as he eventually gets at this point. The characters in Dragon Ball basically grow exponentially stronger over time, especially the Saiyans and Piccolo. Although they are strong enough to blow up the earth in one beam attack already, that's pretty badass, but obviously not comparable to Superman yet.
Kid gohan is the mvp for this movie🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah 😊
Yeah gohan should not have been reading that book lol
😳🙈
Yall should watch Puella Madoka Magica (eng sub) and do a reaction series, its only around 10-ish episodes but is a phenomenal anime.
The best part is Goku is not really that far off of his actual character. He ain't much for fancy book learnins.
That’s great that he is somewhat accurate to his character in this show 🙂
I doubt y'all could react to them. 😂
