I really like the Voyager-J, it’s sleek and futuristic. Not sure why people don’t like the detached nacelles, it’s the future they’ve worked out that it’s better somehow.
Detached nacelles doesn't look good for models. They could have been done a lot better with he Discovery Refit and this Voyager. I would have had a clear bit of plastic coming out of the side of the nacelles and a hole in the side of the opposite strut for the plastic to be inserted.
I’m with you on that, eaglemoss could’ve done so much better. But I was referring to the fact that lots of people seem to dislike ships with detached nacelles in Star Trek generally and the only reason I can fathom is that it’s new and new is bad.
Captain: Why are we not at warp?
Crewman: Yeah about that. We forgot to disengage the external inertial dampener, so the warp engines went without us.
Captain: O_o
MR have said they have come to an agreement with the magazine publisher for around 100,000 magazines
Without the nacelles you could call this the USS shoehorn 👟
I like the over-all desighn... I just hate the detached nacelles... why didn't they design it where the nacelles were watched when not at warp, so the models could look better and it wouldn't look so... wierd on screen.
Floating nacelles give me anger supreme; worst Star Trek concept since the ridiculous spore drive….

While I'm not a fan of the show, the ships from Discovery (both past and far future) have been some of my favourites! I love the experimental and cutting-edge designs. The Walker class is probably my favourite of all time!
