I had a 1977 Dodge Ramcharger that was a two tone metalic forest green with a light silver in the middle of the body panels. It had the SE trim and was a very nicely equiped unit and had tinted rear windows that also included the very rear lift gate. It had the 400 CI engine and had lots of power. I loved this rig! I was in the Air Force and was stationed in Turkey in the middle 80's. I was able to have the Ramcharger shipped overseas. The rig took me on many wonder camping trip in the Tarsus Mountain Ranges and we even drove into several castles from the middle ages. I truly wished I would have kept my rig and re-built like I had planned to do; however, once I returned back to the states I found a 1984 Dodge W150 short-bed pickup that had a lift on it and I given a large trade-in allowance toward buying the new pick up.
Everything "mopar," is golden now. I love these rigs! I have a 76 short bed power wagon, and i imagine its a ramcharger once in a while. Thanks for the video!

I remember having a bone jarring ride in one of these, had a 360 engine in it. Tired of driving on the paved highway then take the center ditch just for fun
Its a truck type ride. The 318 with a manual transmission was a great choice. But it doesn't have all the safety and convenience items. If I could get it at original factory MSRP, I would buy several just to make sure to have enough to last me until I'm dead ! I wonder if a mpfi slant 6 would be enough for a 4x4 daily driver type thing, talk about out lasting me .
Had a 79 trailduster prospector. Quad headlight. 318 guzzled gas like no ones business. Fulltime four wheel drive. Beast.

I have a 77 Trailduster with a 440. If I remember correctly, 77 was the last year the 440 was available in trucks.

take this rust bucket in a ditch and it will fall apart.....there are none left on the road today for a reason--JUNK!

Whenever I think of a Ramcharger I think of a Ram body with the front end of a Charger welded on.
