I made a six level doom wad, now live on MOD DB! -"Inspirational Doom"
I wanted to say to the channel owner, thank you so much for what you are doing! I made a post on DOOMWORLD asking why so many base doom megawads are being rejected to the idgames portal, like my 32 megawad was, even though it is clearly designed to be used for the player's choice of 4k Upscale Texture packs requiring base doom/TNT.
So many of these wads you show are deserving of more praise, and DOOMWORLD rejects so many of them because they are base only, excluding them for being contenders for cacowads when they should be allowed, it's not right for a site that inspired many of us years ago to start doom mapping.
Definitely today it's your channel that is now the best place to find doom wads, thanks again for your weekly uploads!
Damn, this channel is awesome. Simple, straightforward showcase that lets the games speak for themselves, with no BS.

@@jess648 My friend is really good at map design and pacing out of enemies. Man is brilliant I don't know much about what others worked on but he said his part is at 6:45
Sinceramente non so se questi nuovi livelli vengano giocati per provarli oppure se siano già stati giocati e, per presentarli, vengono prese alcune parti. Nel primo caso, posso spiegare il modo di giocare. Nel caso, invece, fossero stati presi spezzoni di un livello giocato interamente, non capisco perché si debba giocare in questo modo a Doom e cioè fare a gara a prendere colpi dagli avversari, sprecare munizioni sparando in corsa, entrare velocemente in nuove aree senza controllare chi possa esserci e, infine, giocare con un controllo inadeguato. Il gioco è degli anni '80 ed è stato creato per un controllo con il joystick (immagino sappiate cosa sia, anche se oggi è difficile concepire il controllo con questo dispositivo).
In quegli anni ho giocato a tutti gli episodi ufficiali ed a migliaia di file creati da appassionati che si potevano trovare in rete. Non mi sono accontentato e li ho rigiocati tutti convertiti da Doomsday in jDoom (anche jHeretic che ha lo stesso motore), ma sempre con il joystick che assicura un miglior controllo.
Detto questo, sono da ammirare tutti questi autori per la loro pazienza e soprattutto passione per mantenere vivo un gioco che ha fatto milioni di appassionati e cultori in quegli anni, me compreso. Grazie!
