This useful program is old. I tried Anvil Studio (mstudioz.exe, the installable file) in 1999 trying to compose some MIDIs. I ended up making some primitive and bad ones but still cool when realizing that they sounded cool anyways. One of them was a cover of Eiffel 65's "Blue" (an eurohouse song popular at that time). Sadly, I didn't preserve the files anymore. I tried it on a Windows 95 machine: a 486 DX4 100 MHz, 32 Mb RAM, 2 Gb HDD PC, 640x480 16-bit colors display (Markvision VC4968 monitor). The soundcard was an ESS1868 AudioDrive with Yamaha OPL3 compatible MIDI synth, so the MIDI files sounded à la OPL3 style! (example: ua-cam.com/video/yYPDsO-3vJ0/v-deo.html&loop=0
Thanks for sharing :) Great memories!
It's still an awesome, fast and lightweight program to compose with.
