If you're running two 8 ohms speakers in series, it's actually 16 ohms. The resistance would be overloading the amp activating a fail safe in the amp.
Which would explain your issue.
If it's in parallel, then that would be 4 ohms, in which case you shouldn't experience any issues.
In which case you can pull an rma assuming you registered for the free 3 year warranty online.
Two 8 Ohm Cabs is 4 ohms at the amp no matter what how the fuck do you think its gonna end up being 16 ohms ? Smh you got a bad Cap in your power section of your amp

There's tons of other articles on the internet that would agree with me, as well as the car audio community.
If you don't know how series resistance works that's on you.
@@starliteaquatics7308 amps have a load impedance. If someone is using speakers that have the same impedance as the amps load impedance there shouldn't be issues at all. Hence the reason they should pull an rma, it's a defective amp.
It doesn't matter how hot or not you're signal going in is. Mine does the exact same thing when I thump on it and has screwed me over every gig I've used it on. Very frustrating! it's gotta be the limiter in the preamp. I'm going to experiment with effects loop and a sansamp next gig.
Sounds great when it work.🔥👍🎸
Not sure if any one mention this, if you are hitting the strings hard and you clip out this could be something called Digital clipping cause by improper pickup height. Running a amp rated for 4 ohms into two 8 ohm cabinets would not cause this it would give you less volume at a 16 ohm load
I have this amp for many years and ran into this issue with one of my active basses I adjusted the pickup heights to the proper specs and the issue was resolved. hope this helps anyone having this issue
I have the exact same problem. Just randomly cuts out. I'm plugged into one 4 ohm cab (Acme Low B 2 x 10). It's in my living room and does this even playing at practice volumes. Does seem to do it more when playing harder/louder notes. Everything set at about 12 O'clock using channel 1, still does it. But, it's intermittent, sometimes goes long periods without doing it and then other times it does it so much it's unplayable. Had the amp about 1 year. I thought maybe it had to do with vibrations from the cab
It looks to me you have to much gain. I have a peavey that was doing the same thing. If your bass pickups are hot, and you pluck rhe heck out of them, some bass head shut off to save your speakers..try turning you gain to about 3 or 4 o'clock, then turn your level up more. Also if you eq settings. I noticed when you put it flat on the p bass it did a little better. Don't boost the low end too much..can also cause it to clip out. Just my opinion though..
I have the combo and have no problems yet. 2 yrs. Also have the Behringer 25 watt Thunderbird practice amp. Also works perfectly. I don't drive either amp hard and so far don't need to. I have a Boogie 60 watt guitar amp and this can compete sound wise with the Boogie or my Twin amp.
Edit; My amp tech has told me many times Behringer is built to fail. They're junk. That's why I got so much for so cheap but it has worked for me so far.
are you using guitar jacks between amp and cab ??
As already said.. sounds like you have a to hot an input to the amp.. either that or there is an electronic problem inside the amp.. cant see it being the speaker
Do these have rack mount ears build in?
I have the same problem with the Behringer combo bass amp
I once had a GK Legacy 1200 that did the same thing with cutting out on me. Sent it in for repairs. Electronic stuff will do that to you sometimes. Most repair shops have a stack of dead amps on the workbench from all different manufacturers. Most of the time the problem is simple like a bad diode or weak solder joint.
UPDATE: That crap went back. Got me a 500 watt Peavey MiniMax. Thing's a monster!
My money says those 2 cabs are not the correct Ohms for the head
Ok I Missed the intro...Ohmage seems correct, I would imagine that is a protection happening that cuts the head off. I would check the wiring of your " Speaker Cable", or possibly what your plugged into for power....I think the head is protecting itself. unplug one cabinet....does it still do it? If so switch your cable and try it again.....still does it?....then i would try plugging into a different cab or change cables ....rinse and repeat. If it continues to do this through all tests....Bad head.
@@truthfilterforyoutube8218 yES, THAT IS THE SNAOWR IT IS OFERLAODIGN THE AMPLIFERS!!!
it might just be the peavey ,try another cab if you can and turn the gain and bass down abit
I literally have the same problem. First I wasn’t sure what was causing the problem: The bass, the cables, the cabinet or the head. Now i’m pretty sure it’s the head that’s causing it
Yep just got one plugged in to an Eden 10in 4ohms 300w and the first channel barely has any sound and the 2nd channel does the same thing as yours
there is any fix for that?
That’s super annoying... I’m looking up videos because I’m thinking about buying one of these since they’re only $150 but, now I’m not sure. Do you have any updates?
Yes. Everyone I spoke to said this should not be happening. Just a badly made head. I got a Peavey Minimax 500w head instead.
G P I went ahead and got one about a month ago. I couldn’t resist for the price. No problems so far. I’ve been playing it through an old peavey 2x15 cab. Thankfully I haven’t been able to replicate what’s happening here.
I've read lots of reviews about this product. Unfortunately, most of those reviews were bad. I wanted to buy one of these, but I am shaken by all the bad reviews.
i never turn my gain up more then half way.
Try a different cable. You said other basses did it so maybe it is the cable. That would be cool.
Why you mess with behs..
You skim past, your cabs are 4ohm speakers. Your clipping it. Mine is a monster so for three money it's great
Nope. Two 8 ohm cabinets which you can see at the 0:20 mark, and if you look up the specs on the cabs, they also say that they're 8 ohm cabs.
Yeahhhhhhh yours is fucked up. Never had a problem out of mine and never heard of that problem occuring. If its relatively new id return it
People slag off behringer equipment alot.. I've never had problems.. & I've used a behringer amp and cab every weekend at gigs for 10 years plus.. it's never let me down.
