Hincapie & Geertruida would be 2 excellent signings imo. Geertruida has the game intelligence, positional sense & descipline to play DM imo
why do we need Geertruida ?? He covers the same role as Joe Gomez (RB, CB, LB, DM) and (i) Gomez was one of our best players last season, (ii) Gomez is proven in Prem and CL, Geertruida has never played in any of the big leagues, (iii) why spend a lot of money on this area of the team, when there are other higher priority areas (LCB for starters and a forward - par is we lost 1 or more of our existing forwards). Also, saw Geertruida play a few times last season and did not see anything outstanding; in Euro24 he has been a fringe player for a very average Dutch side, and played very poorly the other night against Austria.
Hincapie would be much better, but I doubt very much he would be interested - as he would be coming in a cover for VVD and maybe Robbo as well. I am pretty sure he will only move to a team where he will be in the first team.
