There are many stalwarts who are not here... and many not the face of the gharana I guess. But then this is such a great effort and I think it may be so difficult to get everyone together... so I guess net net there is more to appreciate... :)
Prabha ji was quite advanced in years at the time this feature was made, it is possible she was sought to be invited as well but her health may not have permitted. Let us not assume that she was deliberately ignored. Maybe she was. Maybe she was not. None of us really know.

He is infact one of the best vocalist of kirana gharana.... I think the best of all... You can listen to his young recordings! His taans are very fast and with that, he has the correct fluidity of kirana vocalism and by the mercy of God, I got a golden chance to be one of his students.. he is my god
I got introduced to Kirana through him as well. I was in New York last November and visited the Dream House, and managed to find a Pran Nath record in a record store in the west village. I'm very happy to have found his music

This series is just so informative, you get to know about different Gharanas. I am rather disappointed with this episode, especially the beginning. It is rather presumptuous of me to write this but here in the opening phase - Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan and especially his son monopolised the opening raga, occasionally giving place to Pandit Kaivalya Kumar. Veteran Respected Singers Pandit Mani Prasad and Tejpal Singh were cooling their heels and twiddling their thumbs in the sidelines. In fact, if anything the pride of place should have gone to Pandit Mani Prasad. All in all a very lopsided presentation.
@@saurav_advait wait I didn't get your point... Ustad ji equally talented and experienced to get here... He is one of the most successful singer and a stalwart already... And Arshad ji is also not little child... He already has developed maturity in his singing... First do research

In this baithak only he has take such overwhelming sargam taans! And you should also see his age before commenting that way.. he is 64+... And yes he indeed belongs to a great and a respected family but also he has established his own achievements also...
@@saurav_advait there are many achievements of his... Like he has been awarded by the title of Bandish Nawaz from the government, recieved numerous awards, won first prizes in many conferences, sung with the sangat of pt v g jog, nd still many more achievements!
