- One Thing is song about choosing what is important without thinking about what others might think of that choice. It’s not necessarily about doing something that other people won’t like but it is about blocking out the doubt, judgment and overall noise that can come from outside your head, long enough to figure out what’s actually coming from inside it.
I wrote this one, played the tracks, produced & mixed it in my basement and had John Mayfield master the recording here in Nashville. For the video, I headed to Goodwill & Dollar General for $97 worth of glassware and candles and rented a local studio with a concrete floor called Tournament studios in East Nashville. I felt kinda bad buying stuff that I knew I would soon destroy but I dropped off a bunch of great stuff when I was there as well :) Once again we brought on Jake Heidecker from Jellyhouse because you only get to break glass once so having 2 cameras rolling at the time was especially important. As it turned out, you do sometimes get to TRY to break glass more than once. It was also a learning experience to discover just how far glass can fly and how long it takes to clean up candle wax.
This and all my other songs can be found on Spotify or any of the other streaming platforms. I get asked about CD’s from time to time but at this point, I only have plans to release songs digitally. I’ve got lots more to come so thank you very much for all of your interest and support. I’m 16 years old, and I want to be a professional musician when I grow up. I try to play many instruments but the one that I feel most at home on is a drum set. I would say the only thing that impresses me more than a great musician is a great songwriter so I also spend much of my time trying to learn the magic of songwriting. I thought it would help me keep focused on music if I started a drum series where I learned a new song every couple of weeks. After 6 years, it’s now turned into a larger musical search but my goal hasn’t changed. Hopefully, I will keep doing it, keep loving music and keep getting better.

I think it's absolutely amazing how kids these days have the access and talent to create such professional videos like this! I remember when UA-camrs used to record on webcams haha, this is so much better
