As a different commenter said its actually alot simpler. Hes 100% from thr oort cloud its just comet cloud and spider of mercury sound the exact same in Japanese. Its been a 20 year old pun and the entire reason for the ? Mark in his title back in notes. Really hats off to nasu.
Lucky here, thanks for explaining this, but this just mean that because of wordplay ORT continues to be both, so nothing was actually explained. Remember, jokes are deepest lore in Nasuverse.
Ninkigal is a double meaning as omega says its mythology is accurate but the reason they used it is because it sounds like japanese for popular girl. Ninki gal.
When you mention that the Pteranodon priest Vucub might be named after Vucub-Caquix, you could be right. But that bird entity's name means "seven-Macaw" and the vucub part in it is the "seven". Other transliterations for the number 7 are "u'uk" and "Wuqub’". These many ways for transliteration being used side-by-side is also something you can see being used in LB7. "Kan" (as in Kuk-ul-kan ("feather adorned/equipped with serpent") means serpent/snake. It can also be written Ca'an (as is used for the kingdom of the LB7 humans 6 million years ago) or "chan". The name "Wak Chan" can be read as "6 snake".
Since in the entire Lostbelt it's never called Type Mercury I just assume it's not Type Mercury and instead the strongest being in this case not from a planet, but from a cloud of planet-like structures (aka the Oort-Cloud).

a reminder of the JP wordplay pun of Suisei-Gumo Mercury Spider or Comet Cloud
That was one hell of a long game nasu plyed
Lucky here. This explains so much yet very little. Thanks for the info though.
