The only issue is dev's don't know about production security. Containers scale well, and docker is a great format.... but telling someone who focus' on code to also focus on security is just not going to happen. Dev's care about apps, Ops cares about security.... Unless you have a PaaS like Openshift, this is a terrible idea
I'm heavy Heroku user and Docker sounds very interesting to me. Can you create a comprehensive video tutorial on how to deploy Rails app using Docker and sell that packaged tutorial series on Udemy? I definitely gonna buy that course. It would be great if you can cover: - how to setup Postgres - how to boot up Puma - how to boot up and run workers for background jobs - how to trigger cronjobs like Heroku Scheduler - how to add/edit environment config vars on Docker - how to restart server and re-start all services on Docker - how to deploy to Docker using Git like git push heroku master - security dos and don'ts - tip & tricks like how to run rails console, how to run rake db:migrate, how to run rake tasks, how to backup & restore database & etc on Docker - how to scale (web dynos/worker dynos) and load balance that Rails app on Docker Thanks.
Hello , I am more exciting to hear about your docker projects that do crunching as per user requirement. Sounds good if you share the info regarding the same. Also Keep posting video . Can you give more explanation in layman language docker vs kubernetes.
